“The house was beautiful and perfect for a girls weekend away”

“The house itself is beautiful, but unfortunately we had many serious issues during our stay. When we arrived, the entire house had an extremely strong air freshener smell. As it faded, a strong musty/mold-like odor became noticeable throughout the house. We looked through the vents and found them heavily covered in what appeared to be black mold. We contacted the host, but were told no one had complained before and the owner had recently stayed without noticing anything. By the time we left, all of our belongings smelled like mold, and even washing them didn’t completely remove the smell. The house next door was also being tented for termites which made us very uncomfortable. The following day, we began finding American cockroaches inside the house and found three in total. Despite these serious concerns Beach Time Rentals only offered us a $10 Starbucks gift card. Very disappointing considering the condition of the property. We would not stay here again for the price I would Stay out!”

“Everything was mostly great. Photos are old because the pool cage no longer exists. Checkin was 4pm, and we got there maybe 4:15pm. Decided to take advantage of the pool, and at 5pm someone entered the backyard to do weedwhacking. He left...then came back with a leaf blower 15 mins later. Lawn care in the backyard should have been taken care of before we checked in or at least been announced. Pool cleaner came unannounced the next morning. We knew the pool might get taken care of (and it needed it), but knowing someone would be in the fenced backyard area and outside of windows could at least have been a heads-up message.”

“This has the potential to be a great place to stay but we will not be back. Not worth the high price. Pros: Great location to the beach, easily walkable to a quiet section. Nice quiet residential neighborhood. House was spacious and good furniture in common areas. Kitchen was very well equipped. All appliances worked great. Cons: Not walkable to restaurants. Pool in need of repair and was full of debris when we arrived - we had to spend 30+ minutes cleaning. Interior doors were warped and hard to close. Exterior doors were glass panes so no privacy. While dogs are allowed there was only grass outside the fenced area and the fence gate did not fasten fully. Place was not very clean - spiderwebs and spiders behind the doors and sand on the couch. Please note that while it’s currently a private house there are two other units at the back of the property that look like they will be sharing the pool - one was under construction while we were there which we were not informed about.”

“House was beautiful. The house had a major ac leak, on the 3rd floor, that was communicated upon arrival after noticing two containers catching water next to the bathroom off the kitchen. They said they would fix it upon check out 7 days later. After dumping the containers 4 times and concerned about the homeowners Sheetrock and floor damage. I reached out the next day (Monday) again to let the management company know the leak had gotten worse. Again, they said they would fix it upon check out 6 days later. My niece slipped and fell one night going to the restroom and we had to continuously empty the multiple containers to avoid overflow. The other disappointment was that they are building a house between the rental and the beach. We were not able to peacefully enjoy the pool because of daily construction (including all day Saturday), noise, and exhaust from the bobcat. We made the best of it. Just disappointing to pay that much and have unnecessary stress on a vacation.”

“Spacious condo, lots of room for large families. Needs a deep clean and some TLC. Noticeable stains on the kitchen furniture and floors were extremely dirty. Tried to get them to re-wash the floors, but there was a lack of communication and therefore that never happened. The floors should’ve been cleaned properly the first time. Great location very close to the beach.”

“Looking forward to a week with my son his wife and my grandchildren. One of the bedrooms is adjacent to the garage musty/moldy smell. Holes in the walls. Small balcony's not for sitting area. Neighbors did not even allow us to get van unpacked before bothering us that it could not stay in the driveway. Told me I ran over the grass and harassed my granddaughter. Then I bought a box of donuts for the kids when we first arrived. Left it on the counter while we unpacked the car. I hour about, and kids went to have a treat and ants crawling all over and inside the box. Disgusting. And the manager got mad at me on the phone and told me I need to find another place to stay. Then low and behold the HOA lady calls and complains about me that my van was parked illegally and I was rude to her. WOW...........what a great 2 hours at this location. Now scrambling to find another location to stay with 8 people 4 that are children under 10 and an infant at 7pm at night. With no help from manager.”

“Slow response time to questions or issues. Home was beautiful, however instructions for home would be helpful.”

“They state that we have 2 parking spaces. But when we had guests for the day, they were not allowed to have a space. Yet we had 2 spots and we found 2 parking permits on the fridge when we left. We asked for early check in, but were denied that although the condo sat empty all day. The bar across the street is very noisy at night until 1 am on the weekends. We were given 2 washcloths but offered more after I said something. The place was very clean, just not personable. We did not have access to storage units by the pool like others. Other units had beach chairs in their unit. We had 1 chair in the closet, and 1 float. And other units were less expensive, they were booked already when we did ours. Also the plumbing is horrible, hard to figure out how to get hot water, and when you do, it’s too hot. I always give a great review, this was my first like this.”

“Overall, the place served us well. A few issues - the outside area needed to be cleaned again while we were present, the outside grill needed to be cleaned/maintained, the spa schedule was never "dialed in" - the team could not seem to get the programming figured out - did not work at the times they stated it would. The location and neighborhood met our needs.”
