“This is one of the most functional Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in; clean and modern but well-appointed, including thoughtful touches like a cooler + ice packs and beach towels. Perfect for a week in Acadia with 2 young kids. Be prepared for noise from the restaurant underneath — we found it to feel urban and not too disruptive. Local recommendations were super helpful!”

“Loved the walkable location right in the middle of Bar Harbor. Liked having the sectional couch for relaxing in afternoon. The AC units in the living room and bedrooms were helpful for the warmer days. Kitchen had a lot of space and easy to cook in. Good bedroom set up for two adults and two kids with the single beds.”

“We stayed at the cottage for two weeks this July/August where we had a wonderful time. The view over Southwest Harbor is spectacular. It was like being on a bridge of a boat at sea. One member of our party had difficulty walking and spent a lot of time watching over the changing tides and birds and boats which was enchanting. The rest of the party climbed the mountains in Acadia and swam in Echo lake. The rooms and beds were very comfortable and it was lovely to sleep in such peaceful surroundings. We've been coming to Mount Desert Island for many years and stayed in nice cottages, but this was the best of all! Our hosts were very helpful and we thank them forthe lovely experience. “This was our third family trip to Acadia and by far our best stay. First, the location is great. It is a three minute walk to the Village Green where you can pick up the Island Explorer shuttle. Our teens loved being able to explore Bar Harbor on their own without having to get in a car. In fact you never really have to drive your car at all. You can walk or shuttle to everything. The apartment was very quiet and larger than it looks in the photos. There is ample, private off street parking (rare in Bar Harbor). The kitchen is modern and well appointed making dinner prep easy. We spent more to stay here than our previous two trips, but it really was a better experience. Definately worth the money. We would def. Book again.”

“This was our third year vacationing in Bar Harbor and we needed more bedrooms. We were excited when we came across this Bay View Ranch and knew that it would be a perfect spot for our family. We had a great time, everyone was super comfortable and loved the house and property. Dana and Melissa were great hosts and as long as we don’t need a larger house next year, we will be returning. Highly recommend!”

“Cleanliness, location, and aesthetics are important to me - in that order - and the loft was top notch on all three! The space was spotless (and not just in general, like every corner), the location was super convenient in being right downtown and only a few minutes to the shore path but in a peaceful spot, and the minimalist design elements and updated kitchen and bathrooms were lovely. Melissa and Dana were so helpful with local recommendations and questions. We didn’t experience noise or smells from the restaurant below. If we make it back to Bar Harbor, we’d seek out the loft or another of Melissa and Dana’s properties!”
