“The house is well maintained and clean. the interior decoration was good, including homeyness and original art. The hosts were attentive and available for questions. Two important things potential future renters should know: 1) this property is two buildings, one has living-room, kitchen, small bathroom and one bedroom. The second is a large sleeping room with 4 beds, a second regular bedroom, and a giant bathroom. The buildings abut, but there is no connection between them without going outside on a covered patio. 2) from the bottom of the stairs to the river is 150 yards of unmaintained floodplain. It’s walkable but the grass is high and there are some prickers and fire ants. River-shoes are needed. Be prepared”

“Our stay was short, but extremely peaceful! The surrounding area was very calm and exactly what we were looking for. There was an issue with the Jacuzzi and we were told a while before our check in time, and when the issue was not resolved, our host did not hesitate to give us other options, we chose to take them up on moving to another house as we were really looking forward to spending time in the hot tub, and in reality it turned out to be an awesome upgrade with even more space and gorgeous scenic view. The host was very communicative throughout our whole experience and through message checked up on us to make sure we had all we needed. Would recommend booking with this host to anyone looking for a serene quiet experience. Cannot thank them enough for helping us get what we wanted for the weekend!”

“We felt like we weee at home. It was exactly as described. The host was responsive when I had an issue getting in. It was a me issue. Lol. The app that was provided was excellent for an adventure in the Texas Hill Country.”

“Hubby and I, along with our dog Ellie, had such a wonderful stay at the Red Cloud Cabin by Backroads Reservations 🤍 The cabin was peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by beautiful nature — the perfect relaxing getaway for all of us. We especially enjoyed the hot tub after long days exploring the area, and Ellie loved being able to relax and enjoy the outdoors too. Everything felt so comfortable and inviting during our stay. Jess was also such a warm and welcoming host, which made the experience even more special. Perfect spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy the Texas Hill Country. We’d definitely love to come back someday! ✨”
