Aristay's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Terrible stay. Unable to lock door. Messaged host, no response. Never responded to messages. After check out, said that they had missing towels. No one is going to take those old stained towels. I went to Target to purchase my own towels. Terrible stay.”airbnb

“Excellent home and beautiful property. Highly recommend the property. My only gripe was the lack of communication - I asked twice before my stay if the garage would be available to park an exotic car in, but received no response or acknowledgment of the question. (Yes, the garage is available) Other than that, the property was a dream and frankly feels like a great deal. Stay with confidence.”airbnb

“The home is very nice and is like the pictures. There was plenty of space for our group of 15. The Samsung refrigerator with video and music was a big hit with the kids. Our only issue was having to contact the host anytime we wanted to use the hot tub. It felt like we were bothering them and we would've appreciated being able to turn the hot tub on or off ourselves. Every other home we have rented has allowed that. Trying to have a guest set hours of hot tub use for their whole vacation with the host was not practical in our opinion. It made for the hot tub to be on when not actually used and off when we would've used it. If the control of the hot tub was given to the renter, we would've given this home the full five stars.”airbnb

“Impeccably clean bathrooms and linens, that’s the only positive. Everything else is a misrepresentation. The photos are misleading and hide significant wear: dirty, damaged walls with visible holes, a burnt-out front porch light, and an overall lack of maintenance. The house smells musty, with noticeable humidity that raises concerns about mold. The popcorn ceilings and AC vents show visible buildup that looks like dust or mildew. There were only two forks in the kitchen upon arrival. I reported it immediately and was told utensils would be ordered, but nothing was resolved during my stay. For a $3,400 week rental, that’s unacceptable! I had to buy my own. One bed is propped up on boxes to prevent it from collapsing. This property looks good in photos but fails in reality. Poor management and zero attention to detail. Not recommended!”airbnb

“Asked questions prior to arrival and only response that was about check in. Questions were never answered. Arrived and Ac in master bedroom did not work well at all, light in master bedroom would only work sometimes, dishwasher was not working messaged and asked for service and only answered after I sent a second message about their poor communication. When we arrived back at the house around 4pm there was a car in the driveway and front door was wide open. Was never informed that a repair person was coming for sure. Walk in the house and there was a repair person in the house and wasn’t sure how to fix the dishwasher or the light. He cleaned the filters in the ac because they were beyond dirty. (Still did not fix the issue). An hour later 2 more people show up and dishwasher was fixed and light was fixed. All night long the cameras in the yard around the pool stay lit up. The blinds do not block any light at all.”airbnb

“Check previous 1 star review for listing of guests who stayed before us, is accurate and would not recommend. Stove is broken and they attempted to replace the knobs, only to buy the wrong ones that didnt fit and left it in a drawer leaving stove broken. Master bedroom door broken and will not shut, zero privacy. Cockroach infestation under sink and dishwashing detergent bag (at least 10 roaches found in that bag alone) showing they never properly washed dishes after each guest. We found several additional live roaches in guest room due to hole in the wall. Second night, a random person banged on the front door for 15 minutes and we had to call police. They came but suspicious person was already gone once we told them we were calling 911. Messaged host to check Ring camera and they never responded back to us. House had a terrible lingering smell of old food and was not properly cleaned before our arrival. Would not recommend this home to any one traveling to St Petersburg.”airbnb

“The only thing we liked about this house was the location, which was awesome. The house on the surface was clean, but staying there for 2 months, we found 2 dead fossilized Geckos underneath an area rug. It was obvious the house hasn’t had a deep cleaning in a long time. Within the first couple of days, we spent 4 hours cleaning the house. I will say when we complained with pictures the management company reimbursed us $200 for our $300 cleaning fee. The worst part of our stay was the infestation of ghost ants. We complained multiple times but their response was to have a handyman spray. We told them several times that they were infested in the walls and that they needed an exterminator. The handyman said that he agreed but the owner didn’t want to pay for an exterminator. Every 2-4 days there were hundreds of ants that we had to spray(which we bought) in different parts of the house. For the money this house was definitely not worth it. We definitely would not stay here again.”airbnb

“this is the worst host I have ever encountered with Airbnb. House was not cleaned from prior rental. They did not offer to clean, they did not give us alternative location and left us stranded. She was just rude and not helpful. Don't stay here.”airbnb

“Renters Beware: the pool heating is NOT available year round like they claim in the listing. Pool heating is only available if the outside overnight temperature is above a certain number. Make sure you message them about it before you commit or you might not have a heated pool to use like what happened to us.”airbnb
