Ali'i Beach Rentals

“Die Wohnung ist sehr laut, Sie hat zur Strasse überhaupt keine Dämmung und die Schiebetüre ist sehr schwer zu schieben, und fällt fast raus beim öffnen. Das Badezimmer war sehr heruntergekommen, der spiegel ist voller schwarzer Flecken in der ecke und die wand in der dusche bröckelt teils. Jedoch hat die Wohnung eine gute Lage und zu fuss ist alles erreichbar”

“Although Ali’i seemed like a great host, we weren’t able to experience the home like we initially planned. We arrived late at night to a home that smelt like weed and had ash burns on the carpet. I mentioned it to the host which she replied quickly but with a response we couldn’t settle for which was to send someone to come and air out the space. We were traveling with a baby so we got a hotel that evening and canceled our reservation.”

“While the location and views were beautiful, I cannot recommend this condo. The unit was not clean: the couch was so stained we had to cover it with a sheet, the rugs were filthy, and there was significant dust under the furniture. Additionally, the dishwasher leaked. There is no towel rack to dry the towels from the beach or after showering, have to hang them over the bathtub. Condo has no amenities in the kitchen, not even salt or pepper. This was one of our main purpose for getting a condo and not hotel room, we wanted to prepare our own foods. On the refrigerator there are notices that if you book directly with the hotel, you can get the condo less expensive.....really? Did I mention that if you want to BBQ you have to make a reservation? Terrible condo.”

“Location and accommodation was very good and as advertised. Unfortunately, there was construction taking place in the unit next door which we had not be advised of. We spoke to the contractor who advised that all owners and agents had been advised and that the work would be continuous for 6 weeks. Drilling and hammering all day long. Then the internet went out, and was out for 3.5 days of our 4 day stay. We immediately reported to Ali'i who were slow to respond and only sent someone out the next afternoon who then confirmed that an engineer was required so another day without wifi or TV. Ali'i are not on site and are about an hour and a half away. They seem reluctant to send anyone to fix issues. We also had a problem with the BBQ and plumbing. When we left BBQ and plumbing had still not been fixed. Disappointing attention to detail by Ali'i which spoiled our stay. If the service was improved this is a great location.”

“My first time booking on Airbnb and one of the worst experiences. I will keep it short - we arrived to a dirty/uncleaned airbnb and didnt want to wait around for host to find cleaners (which they didnt get cleaned till the next day). Not how we wanted to start our vacation. So we checked into hotel nearby with our tired kids. We got 2 rooms for $1000. Communication with the host was horrible. Spoke to 5 different people (all working from different countries). Managers took forever to call me back with a resolution. They gave me 2 nights free but it still wasn't enough to cover my 2 rooms at the hotel we stayed in our first night. This review is to warn people that the communication is slow and when a problem arises, it takes forever for host/managers to resolve especially over the weekend because they are closed.”

“Letting us know only 2 days before arrival that there would be construction on the property was not ok. There was no time to rebook or even get refund. We wanted somewhere away from tourists and noise. The noise was very loud all day. Besides that it was a lovely location and we enjoyed that part of the island.”

“This place is 100% worth a 5 star review. The place is beautiful, the view is beautiful but there was to manny easily fixable problems we ran into on our week long trip. The electric grill was not working, the TV upstairs was having issues the vacuum did not work and the main freezer was frozen shut. The other disappointment was the amenities. They did not provide enough cooking pepper, dishwasher tabs, laundry detergent, toilet paper, paper towels or trash bags to make it through a week long trip. We needed to go to the store multiple times during our vacation to get these amenities. If these amenities were provided it would have been a five star stay, vacation is meant to be spent vacationing not making store runs to get essential and expected housing items. If the host fixes these things and if you plan to stay it is a truly amazing place that deserves a 5 star review but only after those issues are addressed.”

“Dishwasher was broken, dirty wash cloth hanging from the upstairs shower. Ants crawling on food placed on the island. Host asked for appropriate times for maintenance to enter and fix issues, nobody ever showed up.”

“The pool was closed while i was there for the entirety of my stay, which wasn’t communicated. Also, very slow responses through the app. Otherwise, was exactly as pictured and stay was fine.”

“The posting states that there is construction going on but it does not say that the Lanai is blocked off from access entirely. I would not have booked this room if I knew that. They were willing to let me cancel after two nights but got no credit to make up for the Lanai issue. Bed is also very uncomfortable and mattress should be replaced. Room could also use a full length mirror.”
