“Disappointing There is no dishwasher soap. Upon arrival a shelf in the fridge was broken. There was a lower kitchen cabinet that hung by a thread and was broken. The hand soap in the upstairs bath was filled with water instead of soap and the sink closest to toilet doesn’t drain. The foldout sofa in the basement is broken. The hinge on the wood gate on deck to stairs is broken. There are no extra pillow cases for pillows in closets and the pillows on the beds are so thin it would be nice to be able to use some the extra pillows.”

“A lovely place located in a beautiful sorrounding right by the rocky mountains. It was exactly what we needed. Our experience would have been even better had the hosts responded positively to our repeated requests to fix issues with streaming services. Outside of that the place was more than adequate for our needs.”

“The house layout was great for our large family and location was nice. The kitchen was clean and well-stocked, however the grill needed a good scrub and had no brush included for this. The kids enjoyed all of the games and toys. There were extra blankets/comforters but no sheets for the 2 futons or pull-out couch. We needed these for sleeping arrangements and inquired about getting them but did not hear back for 14 hours, leaving us to improvise overnight. The house is very hot during the day due to west-facing windows that would be lovely in the winter, but harsh during the summer. It took well into the night to reach a comfortable sleeping temperature, while the top floor never did. Beware that the family room/bunk room downstairs had a bad odor lasting the whole time we were there. A heads up to future guests that shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were not provided. Unfortunately for the reasons listed, it was not a 5-star stay for us.”

“This host seemed great at first got automatic messages about procedures, the local fire ban, and opportunities to add special extras to my stay. I live an 8 hour drive away from the property, so was not there at the earliest check in time which was 4 pm. At 8pm, four hours after check in time my reservation was cancelled because the property would not be ready. Not at 4, when it SHOULD have been, but four hours after that time it was said to be ready for check in. In the aftermath I was assured in conversations w/the host and support that I would get a refund right away and could place a reservation for another property. They tried looking and said they would refund a difference on one the the places they recommended, however this is impossible because once a reservation is actually cancelled you get the receipt for it saying refund will be posted in up to 10 business days. I ended up in a very unfavorable situation because what I was being told was not happening to rent a new property”

“The cabin was cozy & nice. A bit disappointed that the windows didn't have screens... would've been nice to open them. No outdoor patio w/ seating by a stream. No oil in kitchen as stated.”

“Inaccurate description and terrible conditions. The listing is incorrect and doesnt have any queen bed sofa in the bedroons (it is only 2.5 baths) and cannot comfortably fit more than 8 people due to its small size. The AC was completely non-functional, the lighting was poor, and the bedrooms were extremely noisy. Awful experience.”

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but I do want to share some feedback for future guests and the host. The cleanliness did not meet expectations, especially considering the $150 cleaning fee. We found crumbs in the pull-out sofa, dirt, dust, and hair in the corners of the floors, and what appeared to be mouse droppings on the outdoor couch cushions. The checkout process also felt excessive for the cleaning fee. Guests were expected to strip all of the beds and haul the trash to a dumpster about a mile away. While I don’t mind helping with basic checkout tasks, those expectations seemed unreasonable given the cleaning charge. One other thing prospective guests should know is that the listing advertises sleeping up to 8 people, but there is only one bathroom. That may work for some groups, but it’s worth considering if you’re traveling with several adults. The property itself has potential, but the cleanliness and checkout expectations fell short of what we expected.”

“Such a beautiful and cozy home! Lots of wildlife in the area, including a re-occurring bear. A little disappointed in the cleanliness of the home as dog hair was found on pillows, left over marshmallows on the sticks and outside table, as well as the grill hadn’t been cleaned in a hot minute.”

“I have never written poor review about a rental. The cabin appeared charming on the website but upon arrival the cabin was so hot that we had to sit outside. Late in the evening the cabin did cool down some but we slept without covers. The bed was so hard that my husband had to sleep downstairs on the couch. The stairs to go upstairs were very steep and tight. Thank goodness we were not too large and could maneuver the stairs. The extra room with the twin mattresses has a door that must have been made for elves. I do not believe any adult could comfortably go through the door or be in that room. The sink upstairs backed up. The hot tub was unusable due to it being dirty. This was a HUGE disappointment as we looked for a cabin only with a hot tub. The loveseat needs to be replaced as when you sit on it you you fall into the ground (not really) but the springs have obviously worn out. I am sorry for the poor review but we were very disappointed with our stay.”

“The cabin was lovely, bed was very comfortable, and location was stellar. Unfortunately, we discovered in the morning when we awoke that there was no hot water. Despite notifying them right away, they did not respond until hours later, after we had to leave to enter the park, claiming the water heater was working properly. We were not lying. Subsequent communication regarding this incident was extremely frustrating.”
