“Perfect place to visit in October! It was so quiet and peaceful! We had a great time and Tahoe was beautiful!”

“We booked this house for a long weekend. Just 3 of us and our dog so the house was much bigger than what we needed but we had our other place cancel on us 2 weeks before our trip. Plenty more space than we needed and it easily has space for 3 families. Easy to find and get into with a door code. We did have an issue with the duvet cover for the bed being heavily stained and clearly not washed. We discovered it late at night so had to take another one off a smaller bed and let the host know the next morning. They did offer to send someone to replace it the next day but knowing the cleaners should have easily seen the condition of the bedding and chose to use it just left the beds feeling unsanitary. The back yard is great with a large deck to hang out on. The hot tub was nice but it is small for the cabin size, fitting 3 comfortably, maybe 5 if you squeeze in. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cookware, and appliances. There was also a cabinet full of spices and seasonings.”

“Great location. Spacious room, and it was perfect for me, my husband and my parents. The BBQ was useful! We enjoyed the fireplace. But first thing we noticed was hair on the bathroom floor, and also dirty dishes in the cabinets. Their house keeping can definitely get improved.”

“There are 2 bathrooms on the main floor w 1 bedroom. There are 2 bedrooms on floor 2 with only 1 bathroom. I had to go up & down the stairs a lot to use the bathroom. This wasn't clear on listing. Beautuful home, lots of spaces to hang out. Multiple tv's. Buy your own ice, ice maker didnt work in fridge.”

“This house is outstanding. We were only 3 + a small dog, but this place can easily accommodate like 10 people. There were bikes, a game room, paddle boards, all of the things a sort of generic Tahoe airbnb would have. It was absolutely what we were looking for. The location is pretty good too: a restaurant/7-Eleven/lake within walking distance. Couldn't ask for more on the house. As for the management company: 1. They force you to use a 3P website to see the house manual/check-out instructions/inform you about things like an electric bear fence that might shock you and your dog at 7 am like it did us. Airbnb already has a place in the app for instructions; Do not force me to go to a 3P site and agree to their terms just to see basic info. 2. There was an 8hr blackout during the stay and management didn't say anything for a while and the house had no emergency supplies. Plus, no cell service, so we were in the dark in more ways than one. Please get a plan for these situations. Not cool”

“The price was very good. It’s is a very peaceful area. Dog friendly. Near the downtown area but the hill brown and back can get old if you walk it a lot as we did.”

“The WiFi connection was terrible. The bear wire made us not use any of the back doors. There are no screens on any of the back doors so you cannot get any cross flow because of not having screen doors plus the bear wire.”

“No A/C. Gets hot at night; we stayed in the beginning of August. The sheets were saturated in a fabric softener smell. We had to put our clothes on the pillows to sleep— it was such an intense smell. We left the windows open during the day to run to the store. It was so hot. I got a message asking to close the windows while we were out. It made us feel like we were under surveillance. I also got way too many texts from this host. I couldn’t relax. The neighbors left a sticky note on our door asking to turn off the porch light. We ignored it because having the light on at night is for safety, and honestly not our problem that they were bothered by the properties porch light. Lastly, we had to take out all of the trash and put it into the bear box. If the host is so close, they should be able to take out the trash. Especially for the price. Overall, I wouldn’t stay here again.”

“The house was really cool with original stone fireplace and beamed ceiling. and I loved the deck! I was out there most of the time - so pleasant! there's a nice big tv in the living room and the 2 sliding doors to the huge deck were really nice for my dog to explore and then lounge out there in the sun. Also, the main bed was really nice and sheets were wonderfully silky... there was stale cigarette smoke smell though. The owners have a wonderful home but property management company needs to clean that smoke smell out and upgrade the towels to big fluffy ones - those are easy fixes. They should also let folks with groceries check in early since no one had booked the night before. oh - great location to get to skylandia beach - my dog's and my favorite!”
