“The grill didn’t wanna work, lose tile by the pool, the pool room ac leaked water, the fire pit didn’t work, the bathroom was dirty, cockroaches were all over the house, lose steps on the front porch, the front door lock was hard to open, the pool lights would go out at 12:35 am which was odd.”

“Yes our first day was held up from everything we wanted to do so our 3days was only two. The house was not cleaned from last renters, doors unlocked, and day also had the contracted in garage fixing wall. He also came back the next day to finish while we were going to the beach. This was a horrible rental for us. They did give a refund for the first night, but that didn’t make up for us having time to do the things we wanted on the first day. The maid service was going to leave dirty sheets on the bad until we said to clean them. So I don’t know how this place is being cleaned we rented. Also all the tents and chairs for the beach is very old and never cleaned. I would not pay this amount again with this company. Make sure to look for something somewhere else with good reviews. This ruined our vacation.”

“The place was not worth the price we paid. Several issues stood out: • The home poorly maintained in multiple areas. The dishwasher wasn’t properly installed and the unit would fall forward dumping the bottom rack on the floor. The pocket door joining the first floor bedroom and bathroom is misaligned and will not completely close. The second floor master bedroom door is loud and difficult to close due to making contact with the floor. The third floor bathroom has BLACK MOLD on the ceiling. • Beware the house has COCKROACHES! Killed over a dozen the first night alone. It didn’t get better. • Couldn’t enjoy the hot tub at night, the backyard is infested with Palmetto bugs, some over 4” long. They were drawn to people in the hot tub. • The closest “public” beach access leads you to a private stretch of beach, easily doubling the walk. • The road to the house was constantly blocked by renovation crews at the house on the corner. We left disappointed, would not recommend.”

“Every issue reported, their response was “we need to check with our local team.” Broken coffee carafe, loose railing on deck, no inside access between the areas of the house, terrible palmetto bugs issue outside. Cockroach and palmetto bugs inside. Front door handle kept falling off. Microwave in upstairs unit didn’t heat anything. Palms very overgrown by gates. Some bathroom doors didn’t lock for privacy. I feel like we paid a LOT of money for the condition of the house. Everything looked nice and there was plenty of space for us all. But the house needs some attention.”

“The house was as advertised. Lots of room and a great location. Beach access was very close and walkable. On site parking was limited. We trailered our own golf cart to the house, but were not allowed to park the trailer on site, storing it offsite was rather inconvenient. It took over two weeks to get an answer about whether a golf cart was permissible or could be parked onsite. There were plenty of beach chairs for everyone, which was very helpful. The pool was a pleasant hang out spot, but after dark it was very hard to see. I’d recommend outdoor lighting of some kind to remedy this. The indoor spaces were fantastic. Both living areas were well used and created great places for good group experiences as well as the large dining table. For such a large house and large groups that occupy it, a 10am check out is too early, though. It’s an expedition to pack and move for large groups. We ended up getting out late, removing trash and excess groceries and leftovers.”

“For the most part the unit was very clean, you can tell there have been some upgrades which is great! There are some residue/moldy looking areas around most of the vents, and some holes and ceiling replacement needs on ceiling on 1st floor bathroom but I’m sure those will get taken care of. Boat access was great! We loved the location! It was great to be able to bring our little dogs as well. Unfortunately the hot tub was not working, even after they sent someone out. We also accidentally left our daughters items in the unit and it was 3 days before they responded with they could not retrieve. When we know for a fact they were left there. Sometimes it goes that way though.. just really unfortunate since it was for her. Stairs are some work so be advised for anyone elderly. We would stay here again for the location and ease of access to crab island and harbor area.”

“If you're looking for a spacious home for a large group, this house is a great option. There are plenty of areas for guests to gather, and the size worked perfectly for our group. However, the overall experience was disappointing due to poor management and lack of attention to detail. Communication was extremely difficult, especially regarding early check-in. Despite requesting it in advance, we had trouble reaching the local team and didn't receive confirmation until 1 p.m. on the day of check-in after multiple calls and messages, and still had to pay an early check-in fee. Cleanliness was also an issue. There was sand throughout the house, including on one of the beds and the golf cart, and several pillows, blankets, and the couch had stains and hair. The home also lacked essentials, including sheets for the pullout couch and extra trash bags. Overall, the house itself was the perfect size, but the management and cleanliness significantly impacted our stay.”

“Disappointed in communication after check out. My daughter left an electronic item in the house. We reached out immediately to ask for assistance in recovery and were happy to pay for shipping. It’s been five days and we still haven’t received an update. Disappointed given the cost of the property, expected easier resolution. When similar situations have occurred in the past at a luxury resort or hotel, resolution was never an issue.”

“We paid for an early arrival. The location is great and the neighborhood is great. However for the price paid there were definitely items of frustration that you do t want on vacation. The floors were dirty upon our arrival. The towel rack in the second floor queen bathroom immediately fell. Propane was short first night. The kitchen was not terribly well stocked including hot pads, sponges or dish soap in the kitchen. The advertisement should include “bring your own beach towels”. The ignition on the golf cart was not attached. For a house of this style and price had higher expectations.”

“House is huge and would be great for a large group. A little disappointed with the lack of beach items. (2 or 3 chairs and no beach towels). The pool lights kept shutting off. Other than that, it was a good place to stay if you don’t plan to be in the house during your trip.”
