The main room and creek are lovely, however the other spaces are clearly an afterthought. Bedrooms were lackluster and various minor features were not thought through or needed repair (e.g. no outdoor seating available to enjoy the fire pit). The hosts were responsive when we raised issues though, which is appreciated! Overall the house wasn't the value we hoped for, but our group of friends still enjoyed a relaxing weekend together.

We so enjoyed our family stay at the Red Cottage! Loved sleeping by the sounds of the babbling brook ( which my grandchildren had fun playing in). The bright and welcoming main room was perfect to hang out in. The Kitchen was well equipped and had new appliances. The downstairs pool table was tons of fun! We enjoyed short rides into beautiful Dorset and Manchester, and had daily walks and bike rides on the quiet road.

We had a wonderful stay. They house was great and so nice to have coffee on the deck and fall asleep to the sound of the stream. Felt so at home and peaceful. We will be back .

We are a multigenerational family of 7. This home has a lot of potential and I felt it was really well maintained lolin the past. It’s in a gorgeous setting. We informed the host that 2 of us have mobility issues & breathing issues so the main floor BR was important, as was a/c. The toilet on the main floor wasn’t working properly. Host responded by sending a repairman but it couldn’t be fixed to be fully functional. It worked some of the time. 2 other BRs were accessible going up or down a narrow spiral staircase. Not good for mobility issues. A/C was excellent. Beds and bed linens were not very good - seemed old & threadbare. Pillow cases were missing on our bed for some reason. The deck needs painting. The windows need to be washed. The living room needs a sectional since the house can accommodate 10 but there’s not enough seating. The huge deck only had 2 chairs & a 24x24 inch table. The stone stairs out of the lower level leading to the creek are uneven & dangerous. Way overpric

The place has a terrible ant problem that offsets all of its perks. Wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to sleep with ants.
