“Despite losing electricity due to a rain storm, we enjoyed the stay, the place was very nice and clean and super quiet. It was easy to find the directions with the use of google maps, place was very welcoming and had very good AC! definitely felt like a true cabin experience.”

“Would give more stars if I could! It was wonderful to stay in a house full of so much history. Don't think for a second though that because this is a historic home that it in any way shows the signs of aging. It was built to last and has been maintained with love throughout the many, many years. Better quality than many modern homes! The location is gorgeous! If you're heading in that direction from Kerrville, you'll go down a couple of long, winding roads. For a moment, you may wonder if you're about to be lost. Just keep going and enjoy the beautiful drive! The river is peaceful and a great place to relax. You won't have anyone else around you, I promise! I met Mr. Larry at check-in and enjoyed a short visit with him. Spoke to Mrs. Linda via text and have a feeling I would have enjoyed visiting with her as well. We're thankful they've made this beautiful home available for others to share. Hope to go back soon when we have a bit more time to relax and enjoy the area.”
