“We enjoyed our stay at Chickadee. The place was perfect for me and my 2 kids. It’s a great airbnb. A lot of thought went into all of the amenities/website descriptions/helpful info about Chattanooga. We had everything we needed! My kids loved visiting with the chickens and goats too! It was an easy drive to downtown Chattanooga. Hope to come back! Don’t forget Signal Mtn is on CST while rest of Chattanooga is EST!”airbnb

“Chickadee at the Talking Water Retreat was such a cute stay for my fiancé and I! Everything is so artfully done. You can tell the host put in the effort for a memorable stay. There’s a towel warmer, pillow spray, and other little extras that made the trip more special. We even hung up the hammocks in the hall and hung out there more than we thought! There’s tons of outdoor space and despite being next to the road, we still felt like we got a cozy cabin retreat. Car traffic slows down at night and a sound machine is provided that definitely mitigates the sound. Chickadee is one of the handful of cabins in this retreat, but it’s tucked away more from the other cabins so it was definitely the most private. We woke up to amazing sunrises over the hills and the sounds of roosters in the distance. This was a perfect cabin for two and a short 15-20 min drive downtown. We will definitely recommend and from looking at the pictures of other cabins, I’m sure those are just as cute!”airbnb

“We really enjoyed this cabin retreat. There are a few different places on the whole property, and all still felt very secluded and private. There were direction signs clearly marking where to find the cabin you are looking for, which was VERY helpful when out planned were delayed and we drove up in the dark! Very easy to find. And a hiking trail right outside the cabin!”airbnb

“Goldfinch was a fantastic place for my family of four to stay while we explored Prentice Cooper State Forest. The cabin's construction is incredibly unique and fascinating to look at. You can tell a lot of thought and craftsmanship went into it. Our kids loved the cats, chickens, and rope swing, and we made time to hike down to the creek, which was a fun little adventure. A couple of things to note: I towed my Jeep on a 20-foot trailer, and maneuvering it around the retreat was a bit challenging. However, the host was very accommodating and helped us find a place to park everything on the property. If you're planning to bring a trailer, I'd recommend coordinating with the host ahead of time. Also, the king mattress is very soft. I prefer a firm mattress myself, but obviously that's a personal preference and not a critique of the accomodations. Overall, we had a great stay and would happily return!”airbnb

“Searching Airbnb for a unique, tranquil place to stay before an 10 hr drive home. Delighted to find Talking Water Nature Retreat—an amazing property!! Definitely a mountain sanctuary!! Alex and I stayed in Blackbird cabin—artsy, full of character, well cared for, with beautiful & modern touches. It was meticulously clean which is so important to feel relaxed. We loved the bunkbed! If you’re not athletic enough to climb the ladder, rest in the beautiful huge bed below. There is plenty of kitchenware to prepare& cook meals. I have to highlight the beautiful bowls/plates—Bobbie certainly added her strong artistic sense! And, artistic and creative —not just in the kitchen —but throughout the entire property!! Stunning! We had the most gorgeous view from the outside picnic table area. We loved the sustainability feature, the quietude, the daily visits from the kitties, variety of butterflies, & hummingbird moths. To Do: Downtown Nooga, Tenneesee river walk, Warehouse Row, Aquarium”airbnb
