“Christy's home was very comfortable and was perfect for our family. We planned a long weekend trip specifically to Old Fort. Old Fort is growing their mountain biking scene and we wanted to check out the local trails such as the Gateway trails, Foothills Watershed and Lower Heartbreak. We also hiked Catawba Falls (less than 15 minutes away). Christy's home was private, with a nice yard and a mountain view in the distance. It was easy to find and didn't require navigating steep mountain roads and was located only about 9 minutes from downtown. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck listening to the creek. The home was more spacious than expected and I can see an extended family or even 2 small families being comfortable at the home. The interior felt very new and it was spotless. Extras like tea, coffee & creamer were nice touches.”

The trickling creek and fire pit on the property were a special touch that we really enjoyed. Christy made everything seamless; communication was easy and they were incredibly responsive whenever we reached out. That hospitality matched how well the house worked for us. As remote workers, having strong, reliable internet all week was a huge plus. The location was ideal for our downtime, giving us quick access to hiking/waterfalls, paddleboarding at Lake James, and day trips into the nearby mountain towns. It was the perfect balance of a functional workspace and a great outdoor base, and we would absolutely stay here again.”
