I’m very disappointed with our stay. For three days, we had to deal with an unbearable sewer smell coming from the bathroom. The toilet was detached from the floor, and despite opening windows and using odor sprays, the smell never went away. It completely ruined our vacation. On top of that, the cleanliness of the entire cabin was unacceptable. The kitchen plates, cups, and utensils were all dirty—like they had gone through a bad dishwasher cycle and were put back without being checked. The rest of the cabin was also covered in dust, which made the place feel even less taken care of. For the price we paid, this experience was far from what we expected. I really hope the owners take these issues seriously and improve the property, but based on our stay, I cannot recommend this cabin at all.

The location was just what we were looking for! Beautiful and isolated. The drive up was icy, but manageable with a 4x4 as they advised. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Only recommendation would be an extra set of towels. Being there 7 nights with 5 people, utilizing showers and hot tub with no washer/dryer, we needed to buy more to make do 😊 Great time, would love to visit again.

It was a great place with beautiful views. There was an issue with cleanliness when we first arrived, but our host was very responsive and made everything right for us. Would definitely stay again. They say you need FWD to get up the mountain and you better believe them. Totally worth it to get to the top.

It was a wonderful week spent with the family. The house was charming, the surroundings were wonderful. There are a lot of interesting things to do around. It is important to have a 4 x 4 car to get to this house. If you have the right car, getting to it is not the slightest problem home, and thanks to the theme, this place was wonderful. Of course, the hot tub in the evenings was nice and pleasant. I recommend this place to everyone who likes peace and quiete.

Our stay at “Roughin’ It” was roughing it at a high price tag. We were aware of needing a 4w drive vehicle, but only after the bumpy, steep drive was it clear why. The kitchen table featured in the photos sitting outside next to weathered logs to “sit” on was a lovely welcome feature. The bathroom door swinging into the toilet was a nice touch to this gem of a bathroom, which could be awarded with the smallest/most inconvenient sink ever. *action was taken so business could be achieved in privacy. The only positive was the cabin had a sufficient hot water heater. Would love to know who had taken/edited the photos uploaded to Airbnb, as they did an exquisite job of having our expectations raised way too high. They allowed the cabin to appear spacious, larger square footage than what was expected. The hot tub was the icing on the cake, the control panel buttons looked as old/corroded as the rest of the cabin, thus we didn’t get to use this amenity and will not be coming back to do so.
