Red Cottage in Roxbury, New York

“I booked a stay at Red Cottage to attend a nearby event at a colleague's home while also celebrating my wedding anniversary. Booking Red Cottage was a wonderful experience. From the very beginning, our host was extremely communicative regarding expectations for the stay, conditions related whether we wanted to host our own events there (which we didn't), and the arrival and departure info. The Cottage itself looked like the images and when we arrived, it surpassed our expectations. The place was nicely appointed, with up to date appliances and beautifully designed kitchen and bathroom, and the living room and bedroom gave us a nice "homey" vibe. The bed, while a bit small, was extremely comfortable and we slept very well the whole time there. Our only wish was for a full-length mirror for getting dressed. Other than that, we enjoyed our experience. Sitting on the cozy sofa watching TV was pleasurable while away from home. We would book this space again!”

“What a lovely place. I stayed at Out Back for a work trip upstate, did not expect to be 5 doors down from a little mom and pop grocery, a coffee shop, and a restaurant. Was such a lovely, quiet stay especially with the fire pit out back, I even popped next door late at night to the connivence store for s’mores stuff! Space was beautiful, clean, and every detail of my stay thought of. Will be back for pleasure next time! Unexpectedly fulfilled all of my quaint upstate Main Street dreams”

“We stayed here for a weekend to ski at Bellayre, only 15 minutes away from the apartment. The unit is cozy, beautifully designed and stocked with everything we needed. The location on Main Street was also a huge plus. We walked to Watershed Cafe for breakfast and coffee and had drinks and pizza at Chappie's next door. We'd absolutely stay again and would recommend to anyone planning a ski trip or a relaxing weekend getaway.”

“We had a wonderful stay at ‘Out Back at The Roxbury’. The space is beautifully designed, with a modern yet cozy feel that makes it easy to relax the moment you arrive. The layout is thoughtful, the finishes are high quality, and it feels more like a carefully curated retreat than a typical rental. The location is a real highlight. Being able to walk into the small town for dinner in the evening and stroll to a coffee shop in the morning made the stay feel effortless and enjoyable. Everything you need is close by while still feeling peaceful and tucked away in the Catskills. It’s also perfectly located for outdoor activities — especially skiing at nearby Belleayre Mountain, which is just a short drive away and made early ski mornings simple and stress-free. Overall, a stylish, comfortable escape in an ideal location. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area.”
