“Treetops was our mountain hideaway for a few precious days. We needed a peaceful place for a small family to spend time together in upstate NY, and this house could not have been more perfect. It's just down the block from Bear Hill Nature Preserve with a trail to a gorgeous rocky overlook. Be sure to take in the sunset by the park entrance. About two miles up the road is an old stone church open for contemplation and prayer with another incredible view that goes for miles and miles. It's an easy walk lined with homes that have tons of character and panoramic views, especially fun for lookey-loos like us. The kitchen was well stocked and there were plenty of spaces for us to stretch out, read, nap, watch TV, eat, work, nap, talk, and eat. Want more to do? We highly recommend day trips to Dia Beacon and Storm King. And if you're hungry near Walden, go to Jashn for the crispiest, savoriest home-cooked dosas we've ever had--and informal but incredibly warm and friendly service.”
