Our family loved the serene setting and the intricate craftsmanship of this incredible home. It was a welcome respite after camping in the high peaks - especially the hot tub. The river access was particularly beautiful - though the bugs were very heavy when we visited and kept us from enjoying it as much as we would have otherwise. I could see fall or winter being the best time to visit and get the most of the property as a whole.

This is a really cool place with tons of character. Very peaceful and relaxing. It's a relatively quick drive to Saranac or Placid but with the boats and hot tub there's no need to leave.

We loved this cabin! It’s beautiful inside, and the craftsmanship is mind blowing. There’s even a photo album of the cabin being built. My family and I had a good time fishing at the river, and we enjoyed the hot tub and sauna. It’s hard to find, but worth the remote location for the peace and quiet!

Our stay at Camp Okarie was wonderful. This secluded diamond is a must. The location is perfect, the cabin is just as described and pictured. The grounds are beautiful and a fun surprise awaits at the end of the walk to the river. A screened gazebo, perfect for morning coffee. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of hiking. The space is plentiful and well thought out...having a fire pit and fireplace was a bonus. Would absolutely recommend a stay if visiting the Adirondacks. The location is a short drive to the Wild Center, Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and White Face Mountain.

Camp Okarie was a quiet, peaceful getaway. The road to get there was a little rugged, but not terrible. If you're looking to kayak or fish you may want to wait until a little later in the year. We stayed right after the snow melted so the river was very high. The dock was mostly submerged. Overall the property is very beautiful and serene.
