“We had a nice weekend away here with family. Accessible first floor was perfect for our grandparents, and the fenced in backyard was great for our dog. The kitchen was great and spacious for all nine of us, and the screened porch was great for summer nights. There were a few things broken prior to our arrival, and the team did respond quickly to our concerns, and they apologized for not communicating it prior. A sink was cracked/unusable (there was a secondary one in that room, so it was fine), the screened in porch had a big tear, the door going out to the backyard was broken and almost locked us out, and the deck had some large gaps. They did quickly apologize for any and all issues, and they got a repairman out to come help for all things as quickly as possible. These little hiccups didn’t deter us from a great weekend at this beautiful place. We love the location and the house, and I could see us coming back next summer.”

“We had a wonderful stay in South Haven while celebrating my birthday! The house was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully designed. I especially appreciated the beautiful wooden floors instead of carpet, which made the home feel extra clean and inviting. The kitchen was incredibly well organized and fully stocked, so we ended up cooking most of our meals instead of eating out. The outdoor BBQ and the thoughtful s'mores kit made our evenings around the bonfire extra special, especially with the unexpectedly chilly weather. The pool was a huge hit with our kids and truly saved our trip, since the lake wasn't safe for swimming due to the high winds. The host responded to our questions within 10-15 min. Our only minor drawbacks were the steep staircase to the basement with a toddler and the lack of a crib and high chair, so we had to bring our own. Overall, this cozy home helped us create wonderful family memories, and we'd happily stay here again!”

“While we loved our stay, and felt that the hosts were very responsive and kind to us, there were a few things we felt could be improved. The doorknobs in two of the 3 bathrooms came off within the first hour of our arrival. Two people were stuck in the bathroom but did get out without need for additional assistance outside of the group staying in the home. The hosts were very apologetic and repaired them immediately, but the doorknobs in the dining area leading to the porch also fell off during our stay. Additionally the refrigerator had a significant leak in it, and our only options were to either cut off the water supply to the ice machine, which stopped working during the stay anyway, or continue placing towels in and around the fridge to deal with the leak, which is what we chose to do. The rooms were nice, but the beds were uncomfortable, universally, in all the rooms. Lastly the private beach access is severely limited due to a very steep climb up and down to the lake shore.”
