“We had a wonderful stay at bold stump cottage. The house was pristine and comfortable, with lots of space inside and outside for our multi-generational family to relax and enjoy each other’s company while the kids played. Bedrooms were great, kitchen and screen porches were a dream! The beach was beautiful and having toys, beach chairs and wagons available at the house for use made it easy to enjoy. We’d visit again in a heartbeat!”

“This house is so cute! You can tell so much attention was paid to every last decorating detail. And it was extremely clean. Things to note: 1) instructions come through email, not the app so don’t miss them 2) they leave little in the way of supplies so be sure to grab your own to last past the starter supplies. This is very standard for short term rentals, but people don’t always expect it. 3) although it sleeps 6, they only provide 4 beach towels so you might need to provide your own Overall this place is great! Would stay again”

“We really enjoyed our stay. The house is decorated super cute, and it is in a quiet and peaceful location. The private beach was easily walkable, and they provided a wagon, umbrella, and beach chairs which made packing a lot easier. We were also fairly close driving distance to great shops and restaurants.”

“Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would generally recommend this cottage. The location is beautiful and having access to their private beach was fantastic. The cottage is small, but the screened in porch provided great additional space that we enjoyed during some rain showers and at night. The space has a little more clutter and "chochky's" which seemed to hamper cleaning so it wasn't spotless and felt a bit clunky in the smaller space. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. We would have rated our stay higher but we ran into an issue our first night with the air conditioning breaking down. The inside temperature rose to the mid-80's overnight which made sleeping with four people very uncomfortable. Management was responsive with bringing fans and getting someone out their quickly to fix by the next day, but it was a very difficult night (our son had been recovering from difficult respiratory issues) and we were surprised with the amount of pushback for making it right.”

“The house was perfect for our extended vacation with a total of 9 guests. It’s well stocked with things we didn’t expect like spices, a variety of books, games, and all the beach gear you need. It felt like home! The lake is quiet and an easy walking distance from the house.”
