Northbound in Empire, Michigan

“This house was a good home base for our week in Empire and we enjoyed our vacation. Location is great and walkable, neighborhood is safe quiet, the area is stunning. The house is beautifully decorated, as seen in the photos. All told, this rental didn’t feel worth the money—small but daily annoyances added up to not warrant the luxury price we paid. Three examples: we were greeted by a strong musty odor from the bathroom curtains every time we walked into the main bath, and the host didn’t respond to the issue or offer any resolution. The tub filler was poorly installed and fell over (host did respond quickly to this); the shower door is getting loose on its hinges and made an awful noise with the glass grating each time it was opened/closed. I can understand how these maintenance issues happen, but it didn’t feel like the host took our outreach seriously or was much concerned with our experience.”

“What a wonderful property. The location to everything “Up North” is perfect. The decor was so well thought out and executed. We felt like we were staying in home straight out of Architectural Digest. Our out of state visitors were so taken with the property, Lake Michigan, and the Sleeping Bear Dune area.
