“The hosts were excellent; responsive, accommodating, and the home was clean. The location is just steps from the beach, which is a major plus. That said, the property fell short of my expectations. Travelers with modest expectations may find it perfectly adequate, especially at the price point, but those accustomed to more polished vacation rentals may be disappointed. The outdoor space feels neglected. Weeds surround much of the property, the deck is worn, and the inexpensive outdoor furniture detracts from the experience. A modest investment in landscaping and comfortable outdoor seating would dramatically improve the stay. The provided beach chairs are small and uncomfortable, so consider bringing your own. The bathroom is extremely tight, and larger guests may find it awkward to use. While close to the beach, the property is also adjacent to a trailer park, behind a restaurant/bar, and noise was an issue during our stay. “My husband, 6 year old daughter and two pets loved our stay at the Jib. The cottage was in pristine and clean condition and we enjoyed our sleep over two nights. Our favorite, was of course the short five minute walk to the beach and the shed was equipped with everything we needed from chairs, beach blankets, toys and boogie boards. The Sailing Cow was conveniently adjacent to us and we enjoyed having lunch as we got right back to enjoying the breach. Highly recommend and couldn’t ask for anything better during our stay! “This cape cod house was absolutely beautiful. The owner was also super kind, answered texts ASAP and if we needed something he always helped. All the rooms are very nice, especially the basement. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to any type of friend group/family.”
