“We had a wonderful stay at Poet’s Lodge. The home had everything we needed and was the perfect rustic retreat. The views were amazing, easy water access right out the front, and we spent so much time on the screened in porch. I’d highly recommend, very peaceful.”

“I want to start off by saying the property of this cabin cannot be beat. The view and access to the lake is simply stunning, and would make me want to return. However, the cleanliness of the cabin really needs to be looked into. I’m not sure if the cabin was cleaned, then left vacant for an extended period of time (so the bugs moved in), but there were so many cobwebs and spiders, inside and out. My husband and I were both bitten in our sleep and had to kill a handful of spiders each in the bathroom. It was evident that the bedding was clean and the bathroom was wiped down, but I couldn’t believe for the money we paid that there were so many spiders. An older, “rustic” cabin isn’t a problem for us and we love old charm, but I would consider it dirty (after the 3rd day, I frankly stopped looking into corners and wouldn’t reach down towards the electrical sockets due to the webs). I also believe there to be a mold/mildew problem in the bathroom. I would return if cleaning was improved!”

“We had an amazing stay with Morton and Furbish. The cabin is well stocked, clean, and tidy. Finding the location was a little tricky. When turning into the Marina, we didnt see a street sign saying Blackberry Lane, but noticed the house numbers on the backside of the cabins and found number 12. Thank you so much for providing an amazing cabin for our Fourth of July camping vacation.”
