“Great stay at the Mermaid....beautiful townhouse with up to date everything, very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked. It is right across the street from the pool, the front yard is beautiful to walk through when you are coming and going.”

“If I could give 0 stars, I would. I've stayed in Airbnbs for years, including other houseboats, and this was by far my worst experience. We arrived at 3 AM after a 5-hour drive only to find the access code didn't work, plus we weren't told we had to check in with the marina. The boat had a persistent septic smell, the AC couldn't keep up (it was hotter in the bedroom than outside at 11 PM), recurring HPF alarms, a refrigerator that didn't keep food safe, and eventually the smoke alarm went off while something mechanical clicked every few minutes. We were told these issues "never happen," yet the vessel information included troubleshooting instructions for breaker-related issues. My travel companion couldn’t handle the heat and the smell made her nausea, that she ended up staying at a hotel. Due to a medical emergency that happened at the hotel and nonrefundable excursions. Ironically, the host's own guide says leaving early warrants a 1-star review.”

“We had never stayed on a boat before found it to be a very pleasant adventure during our time in Key West. Instructions were clear and easy to understand. If you are someone who doesn’t do well in tight spaces, this is not for you! If you are interested in a private, safe space to enjoy a quieter visit to Key West and don’t mind small spaces, you will love the Southernmost Serenity!”

“Our stay on Southernmost Serenity was excellent. The boat was as described and very clean and comfortable. The marina clubhouse, Perry Hotel pool and Restaurant and marina restrooms were awesome. The marina staff treated us like we owned the place rather than being weekend renters. We will definitely be back!”
