Destination Amelia in Florida

“This was a peaceful and relaxing place to spend the week. The location was perfect with easy access to the beach and pool paired with beautiful views from the balcony. The area was quiet while also family friendly. The home provided much needed beach towels and a boogie board - a few chairs would have been great but that was only a minor personal preference amid the well-stocked and gorgeous home. We would stay here again.”

“Cute little place and so convenient to the beach! We were also able to walk a short distance to a couple of restaurants. Both were pet friendly which was a plus!”

“This is the perfect beach house for a family vacation. The backyard has lots of room for kids to play. The beach access was very close and easy to navigate. It is very convenient for walking up for lunch or bathroom breaks. It is also a short walk to a playground, restaurants, and a gas station. The house was very well stocked with everything you would need. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.”

“Property was as described and the views from the balcony are great. The lift wasn’t working when we first arrived but was fixed quickly. We also had unexpected noisy construction work being carried out in the car park, but this only lasted 1 day. The common areas are looking a bit tired but the location and views offset this.”

“Unit was clean and had wonderful views. Beds were very comfortable and kitchen well supplied. Unfortunately the A/C units were not functioning properly and as a result the rooms were stuffy and warm, making sleep difficult and uncomfortable. Destination Amelia was contacted and sent a general maintenance person who effectively did nothing and reported that the A/C units were functioning fine and were just unable to handle the Florida heat (even at night when temperatures are much lower??). Funny that millions of people live in Florida with A/C units that can clearly cope with heat but an upscale condo does not have such A/C units. More likely Destination Amelia couldnt be bothered to get a proper A/C specialist to look into the problem and didn’t care that we were uncomfortable for our entire 3 night stay. Very disappointing and unprofessional. We would not have set them again as a host”
