“Our experience was stressful and left all five women feeling unsafe. On arrival, the first floor had a strong mold smell, so we used the two upstairs bedrooms. The refrigerator smelled of fish. We notified the host, requested no refund, and cleaned it ourselves. We kept communication through the official messaging platform. He privately offered to move us due to the smell, but we declined due to another review with a similar difficult rebooking experience. Several days later, he arrived without notice while three of us were swimming and two were upstairs getting ready. He asked to enter upstairs. We said no, but allowed him into the first floor where the issue was. Our privacy and safety were compromised. The next day, while we were at lunch, he told us to leave with about two hours to pack, citing our refusal of upstairs access and alleged smoking. The rule says “No smoking indoors” not a nonsmoking property. Guests should be able to rely on written rules. Horrible experience/host.”
