“We had a wonderful stay at this charming, clean, and comfortable home. Seven of us fit very comfortably, and the spacious kitchen, living room, and dining area were perfect for gathering, relaxing, and spending time together. Jeff at Farawae was also very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. He quickly answered our questions and even provided a brand-new iron, which was especially appreciated since we were in town for a wedding! When we mentioned an issue with the second A/C unit, Jeff promptly arranged for an HVAC team to come out and try to repair it. Admittedly the unit still needs work, and will be hot in the upstairs bedrooms if not fixed. Overall, it was a great and very comfortable stay.”

“We paid $2,868.36 for three nights and left after the first. On arrival, the unit had an overpowering, stuffy, mold-like smell, and the balcony was covered in bird droppings. We reported both immediately and photographed the balcony. We arrived around 11:30 p.m. and could not find alternative accommodation that late. We kept the windows and balcony door open all night to tolerate staying until morning, then left before 10 a.m. The host offered housekeeping to “freshen it up.” We declined because we were concerned about mold as the source of the odor. He instructed us to cancel rather than change the reservation and said he would review a refund after inspection. Despite repeated follow-ups, he stopped responding, kept the cash and never offered a refund. This fell far short of the luxury experience we expected. Leaving early and finding another place disrupted our trip. I would not stay here again.”

“Wish we would have listened to the other reviews before booking this place, the upstairs A/C is broken and the upstairs gets very hot during the day as a result. The house needs fixing up and refreshing, some furniture pictured is missing or broken. There’s an excessive ant problem upstairs and downstairs. It was fine, but wouldn’t stay here again.”
