“Our stay at Blue Magnolia was lovely. The only complaint I have is that the description on its location is misleading. It is not a 5 min walk to King Street, it is 13 minutes. While I do not mind walking 13 minutes and did every morning, we were in town for wedding on King Street which I was hoping to walk to and that wasn't possible in formal attire.”

“This place is perfect if you are looking for a place that is walkable to the attractions, restaurants and shops. It’s right beside rvs pineapple fountain. The room is nice for a couple and perfect place for a short getaway. A few things to be aware of just so you know. It is not a place to stay for quiet between 7am and 11pm. The road noise is very loud, trash trucks in the morning, and neighbors walking up and down the steps. It all echos pretty loud in the room. You can use a sound machine to deafen some of it so just be aware. Also there are steps so be aware both to your room and to the bathroom. The place was lovely and the host was nice and responsive. I think the cleaning person didn’t change the bed sheets as they were very dirty with several hairs. It was late when we checked them and had to wait until the next morning to change but we told the host and they responded and followed up the next day. Just an unfortunate situation that occasionally happens.”

“Title: $500 for the Location Positives 1. It was clean 2. There were plenty of towels, shampoo, body wash, etc. 3. Help was available when the locks wouldn’t work. 4. Help came quickly when we couldn’t reset the GFI outlets 5. Help came quickly when the ice maker wasn’t working. 6. The location is perfect. Even some 70 something people could walk virtually everywhere important for a full Charleston experience. You don’t have to drive and park (or take Uber/Lyft) to the French Quarter from your quarters each day (Parking is $24 max each day). Negatives 1. There was a full kitchen with coffee maker and some coffee, but no sugar, creamer 2. All the GFI switches were tripped and very hard to reset, some impossible for us to reset. 3. The provided entry code to the unit was finicky 4. The only parking is at the parking garages ($24/day) with a 2 block walk to the unit. 4. There was one window overlooking … a wall. Why have a window?”

“The location was good and we were able to walk to King Street although it’s a much further walk to the market area and some of the historic district. The linens were very clean and the beds were nice and the bathrooms were clean. The kitchen had the bare minimum in terms of necessities, but it was sufficient. We were disappointed in the quality of the furniture in the living room and the fact that the rugs in the bedrooms and in the living room were dirty. the furniture in the living room needs to be replaced and considering another bedrooms, they might need to add at least one more comfortable chair.The couch is pretty much falling apart and not very comfortable. This was a pretty expensive rental so I would hope they would take care of that. And the rugs need to be cleaned. If you stay in the front bedroom, you will get a lot of noise from people coming home from the bars late at night on the weekends. overall, though it was a good stay.”

“I was quite disappointed with our stay since I chose this place based on its positive reviews. Having stayed at many Airbnb properties, this was one of the least comfortable experiences. I also want to mention that my expectations were higher given the price of $695 per night. First, the indoor humidity was extremely uncomfortable. We had to keep the windows open to help air out the space, and we could even hear guests checking into the next door complaining the same. Second, the floors appeared noticeably sloped which made walking around feel unusual and uncomfortable. Third, the space was smaller than it appeared in the listing photos. I would say it's better suited for a maximum of three guests rather than the five advertised. Fourth, the hot water took so long to come through, and the water pressure was really low. Lastly, just a lot of several smaller details just fell short. Ultimately, we decided to check out a night early because we were very uncomfortable.”

“Awesome little place in a great location providng walkable access to many sites and restaurants but is in desperate need for some maintenance. The AC did work at all while I was there, and none of the windows or doors have screens so thats fun. The door up to the patio is falling apart and I couldn't get it closed after opening. Needs plenty of cosmetic touch ups as well. Although parking is provided, its a little strange.”

“Phenomenal host and outstanding hospitality. We had a series of unfortunate events upon arrival (no hot water), and the host was very quick to respond (even at midnight) and provide quick resolution the following morning. After the hot water was fixed, there were still some issues - very low shower pressure, and low power in the AC that prevented us from being able to sleep well on the third floor, so hopefully they resolve those things for future guests.”
