You're On Tybee Tyme Properties's guest rating of 4.74 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“I do not recommend this place at all. When we arrived, many of the utensils were dirty, including plates, spatulas, forks, and cups. I sent photos of everything to the host, but the response I received was simply, “Sorry, but the place was meticulously inspected before your arrival.” Based on what we found, I strongly disagree. To make matters worse, one of the towels had a noticeable amount of hair on it. The pool was also dirty (I wish I could upload photos here), and the beach gear provided was extremely old, worn out, and literally falling apart. To top it off, I was told, “If you want to leave, we can refund the remaining nights of your stay.” Rather than taking ownership of the issues and trying to make things right, they essentially suggested that we leave. That response only made the experience even more disappointing. Overall, the cleanliness and maintenance of the property fell far below expectations, and the host’s handling of the situation made it even worse.”airbnb

“Fantastic location. We also appreciated the free passes to the lighthouse. Had to ask for code for beach chairs and code did not work. Luckily, previous family left a few chairs which we utilized instead. Nice, newer appliances. I understand beach locations will have some wear and tear, but we'll likely look for a different location next time.”airbnb

“This place was beautiful and we loved staying here. I would stay again but as it’s a cooperative enterprise and not a private home I don’t feel bad saying; The bath tub and towels had excessive hair and debris. We had to take out our trash out of which is strange if they have a cleaner. The kitchen was dirty. Ground meat under the toaster, coffee in the coffee maker, and lipstick on the cups. The washing machine sounds like a prop engine plane and the beach supplies were locked up and had trash in it. Otherwise the property was great just needs a high standard if it’s basically a time share”airbnb

“There were drugs found in the dining room by previous tenants. The neighbor has a rooster that crows all hours of the night.”airbnb

“Our first time to Tybee!! Our stay at DeSoto was good, many good memories for our family of 10!! Walking and biking distance to everything all week, never used our car till last day. Would highly recommend getting bikes!! Only disappointment was the pool was not open at all while there. Tybee Island, we will be back!!”airbnb

“Our stay at blue Marlin was just okay but definitely had some issues. The rugs were pretty dirty, grill was dirty, bikes rusty and not much as far as kitchen staples oil salt pepper. No book with local recommendations. The biggest issue we had though was some kind of critter in the attic every evening would scratch in the attic over the back bedroom. We notified Lori and she said she would have someone come out but we never heard anything else from her about sending anyone the rest of our stay. She initially said it must have been a tree limb or something outside and that maintenance had been done on the AC receItly so she knew there wasn’t anything there. It was clearly inside and I sent her a video of the sounds. The following day my husband opened the attic to find large traps and chicken wire over the attic vents so they clearly already knew about it. She also said maintenance was coming to fix some lights and a chair but we never had anyone come and fix the lights.”airbnb

“A couple of hiccups in our stay. Parking spaces were on a different street than the directions indicated. We were meant to have the right-hand side of the drive but another renter took up both sides, so we parked on the lawn overnight. As far as amenities go, the place has everything we needed (a bed, a fridge, a shower) but no real wants or comforts (just one slim blanket on the bed with no spares, watered down conditioner in the shower, etc.). It was fine for a weekend, but we won't be coming back. Could be a really nice stay with some TLC.”airbnb

“Biggest issue was electrical problem in the Airbnb directly above ours which is owned by same host. We tried to be understanding & flexible but the host was dismissive and refused to provide to detailed information or verification that the issue was resolved properly. We chose to leave early because of this safety concern combined with the very unprofessional response and host refused to refund anything. Situations like this make me not want to use Airbnb because there isn’t any protection or repercussion for the customer, we just lose our money. One of the biggest attractions to this unit was the dog friendly aspect. Be aware that the yard is not completely fenced in. The gates are not attached and there are other holes in the fencing. The yard also had litter in it and litter in the fire pit. Host said we were the first people to stay in this unit but that seems unlikely as all the silverware had food crusted and caked on it so everything needed to washed before using.”airbnb

“My search parameters were for an entire home. This unit is not an entire home, it's a garden apartment, basically a basement apartment. Because of that, it took us a while to figure out that the front door was not where the code would work. The access code worked on the basement apartment door which is kind of beneath the front porch. Since we were having trouble getting access, we tried calling the phone # number for support which went to a number that's out of service. Also, there was a smoke alarm with a dead battery that was chirping all night, and so i couldn't sleep. With little sleep, I got up around 5:00 a.m., finally found the source of the chirping and had to fix it myself to turn off the noise.”airbnb
