“A fantastic 5-night stay to end our California holiday. Perfectly located peaceful and quiet, yet with excellent vineyards and restaurants within walking distance, plus many more just a short drive away. The house itself is amazing, with plenty of space for larger families or groups of friends.”

“Our family had a wonderful break at the Himmel House. The pictures of this property do not do it justice — it is serene, beautiful and tastefully decorated. Every possible amenity we would have liked was available, which was amazingly thoughtful of the hosts. The location of this property in Kenwood makes it a terrific option to consider in the Sonoma Valley area — close to restaurants, wineries, and yet secluded. Our kids really enjoyed the backyard, pool, and all the books and games. We would love to come back to this property in the future!”

“The house matched the listing photos well. The four bedrooms and backyard were accurately represented, and the property offered a large amount of outdoor space. The three smaller bedrooms include mid-size beds and generous closet space. One item future guests should be aware of is that the neighborhood enforces very strict quiet hours. During our stay, we were asked to move inside shortly after 10pm following a neighbor complaint while our group of eight was finishing dinner outdoors. There was no music playing, but the community appears to have a very low tolerance for any backyard conversation or activity after quiet hours begin. Guests planning to spend late evenings outside should expect that backyard use after 10pm may not be practical, even for low-volume conversations. Also worth noting, the upstairs bedrooms are positioned close together and sound travels fairly easily between rooms. Guests with larger groups or light sleepers may notice conversations, TV noise, or snoring.”

“We had a great time in this beautiful home! The property is gorgeous with lots of olive and other kind of trees. We enjoyed the swimming pool and the pool table. The view is stunning from almost every angle of the house. The kitchen had everything we needed. Also they had a variety of spices in the pantry. It has lots of pots and pans, dinnerware, silverware, drip coffee maker and an espresso machine. It was quiet and very peaceful. We didn’t have any problems but had some questions and management responded quickly even after hours. Thank you very much for having us!”

“We had a great overall stay at this property. The space was roomy and comfortable, and the neighborhood was very peaceful, which made it easy to relax. We especially enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi, and everything inside smelled fresh and clean. The grill was also spotless and ready to use, which we appreciated. One small downside was that we noticed some leftover hair strands and a noticeable cologne scent on one of the pillows, which took away slightly from the otherwise clean feel. Overall, it was a nice stay with just a minor issue that could be improved. Would come back again!”
