Wintergreen Resort

“This was a substitute property recommended after our original bnb had plumbing issues. Ok spot, but not comparable. Jacuzzi/hot tub is a bit of a hike from where the lodging was. It’s a lodge, so not private and a lot of foot traffic/noise in the lobby area. Dinner was fine, paying higher prices for decent food.”

“Place was clean, upgraded with all amenities you would expect. Great views, comfortable bedrooms and modern kitchen. My only objection for this place generally is the 38 steps to get to it - with all the luggage and foods to unload and reload, it was burdensome. As for the place itself, the TVs were difficult to operate with multiple control pads. Instructions were available and we followed them carefully - but all we got was a "no signal" notice on the screen. We finally succeeded in operating the tvs after punching more buttons.”

“Overall, we had a great experience at Wintergreen Resort...friendly people, peaceful surroundings, and cozy accommodations. The unit we occupied and the resort as a whole are a little worn and could use some updates and upgrades, particularly for the price charged.”

“We ended up selecting this space as a contingency after we were advised the 1st condo we selected had been sold prior to our stay. Having already planned our trip, we selected this condo, after staying at the resort 3 years ago and being happy with the experience. The downfalls- When we arrived, there was a strong odor of cooked seafood in the room, that we discounted as possibly being cooked by the previous guest in the kitchenette. We found a few dead ants on the freshly made bed sheets and a live elder bug crawling on the wall, which not ideal for your first impression, but is common in mountain area’s. The grass was overgrown around the condo and there was trash (water bottles) in the landscaping from the time we arrived until we left. I finally picked it up upon our departure. The photos of the listing are definitely “churched up” and appear to have been taken many years prior, and can be misleading. 9/10 in our first experience at Wintergreen- 3/10 this time unfortunately.”

“This unit is in a resort, like a hotel kind of concept. Nicely decorated, but the view out the balcony was ok. It can get really foggy depending on the weather. 24-hrs front desk, the stuff provided are fairly good quality, but sound insulation is not great. It is pet friendly so that's a plus. If you plan to explore the town and city around the area, might not be the best option, it is at least 15-30 mins drive. If you plan to hang around the resort enjoy the amenities, it is a good option.”

“Other than the host never responding back to us and the dirty bathroom. The condo was pretty.”

“I love the area, just wish the bedding wasn’t stained and the tub didn’t have a slow drain. Other than that, it’s a beautiful area.”

“Needs a new mattress (it’s concave; no back support). Why wasn’t it replaced sooner (it would be obvious to any housekeeper…)? I would also indicate “patio view” on the Airbnb site.”

“They didn’t mention anywhere in the description that this is right above the lobby of the wintergreen resort. I was expecting more privacy, and a view that wasn’t of the parking lot. I thought we just checked in at the hotel, not that the actual condo was in the hotel”
