Whitefish Luxury Cabins
4.74Visit website
Whitefish Luxury Cabins's guest rating of 4.74 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“This home had great amenities, and was conveniently close to downtown Whitefish. The space was peaceful and comfortable. We had such an amazing visit with our friends!”airbnb

“The house was nice and fit the listing description, but there were many issues with our experience. To begin, our check-in was delayed because they were still cleaning the house. When we arrived, the trash was overflowing so much so that we could not add any of our trash to it throughout our stay. When we got settled in, we noticed multiple areas of the home that had mouse droppings that had not been cleaned up. We cleaned and sanitized the areas ourselves and had the host come seal a huge opening around the A/C unit where the rodents were clearly entering through. He did not take any further measures to clean areas with droppings or get rid of the problem. Each morning, we woke up to more mouse activity throughout the house, including droppings over the cleaned countertops and on our hand washed dishes. It was quite unacceptable and a major health concern. On top of everything, the dishwasher did not function throughout our stay.”airbnb

“We were excited to try a new home since we frequent Whitefish annually. Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The location was not what we expected or was advertised, facing barbed wire fencing and border patrol. A train came by every night around 2:30am. We could have overlooked those things, but we did not have a workable coffee maker or silverware for our family of 5. It was as though key renter details were overlooked. After messaging the host twice with no response, we purchased one ourselves. Our host stopped communicating with us and didn't respond when we asked for reimbursement for the coffee maker. There was no communication the rest of the trip. We've never had an experience like this, so it was a bummer. I spent vacation time dealing with issues that should have been simple to communicate about and remedy. Basic rental stuff. No one wants that on vacation!”airbnb

“Unfortunately, we had a very poor experience with this Airbnb. The property did not appear to be properly cleaned or maintained before our arrival. The yard was severely unkempt, both trash cans were completely full when we arrived, and a large pile of trash bags from the previous guests had been left in the garage. With the odor noticeable inside the house. We also found a plate of rotten food left inside one of the kitchen cabinets. There were numerous maintenance issues throughout the property as well. The showers would not drain properly, multiple light bulbs were burned out, and the grill ignition button did not work, so it had to be lit manually with a lighter. The house was divided into two Airbnb units, and the washing machine designated for the larger portion of the house that we rented was also broken. The most concerning issue was the presence of rats. We found rat droppings inside the under-counter cabinets, and my father in law witness one on the last day of the trip.”airbnb

“First, the place is newer and nice. However, there are 3 air conditioning units in the house and the only one worked. This made the house uncomfortable as temps were in the upper 80s and low 90s. Additionally the unit in the MB leaked and dropped on the bed. Manager was notified but couldn't get the units working so we had to deal with it and wasn't offered any type of credit. Also, was only notified 1st time contractor showed up, 2nd time was unannounced and still didn't get AC units working. Wouldn't stay here again during the summer months.”airbnb

“there was hair all over the blankets. there are three AC units and every single one was leaking extremely bad. the one upstairs soaked the bed, the one in the kitchen was so bad the drywall is bubbling and soaking up all the water which will cause mold if it has not already, and the one in the bedroom left a puddle on the floor. We also had to take fast showers because it was not draining properly. These were built to look fancy and nice but with extremely cheap materials.”airbnb

“Worst experience with Airbnb in 10-yrs. From filthy floors, dirt and hair in the beds to over crowded units behind the one we stayed in, there was a lack of urgency to address all issues. 16 males partying until 3am, 6 feet from our bedroom window, impacted the most important day of our trip (cycling up Logan Pass). Host response: we will address it. Impact, it happened again. Add to that, beer cans, cigarettes and used tabacco pouches all around the parking lot. The lack of screening of guests, along with bed hair and filthy floors should have prompted a reasonable refund…nope. Management wants your money, even if they don’t perform. I feel compelled to protect others from this property management, as nothing was handled fairly or properly. Buyer beware.”airbnb

“Great location and responsive host. Let us check in early which was nice. Of notes, lots of amenities did not work. The fireplace, grill, neither of the microwaves, and the espresso machine all did not work. We messaged the host and they said it should be working but 7 people could not get them to work. The air conditioner was also working very poorly. Aside from these things. The location is great, and it is good value compared to other nearby rentals. I would like a refund for the lack of working amenities as we had to adjust our food planning after purchasing food to cook etc.”airbnb

“This was not a good experience. The home had clearly been occupied by construction workers for an extended period prior to our stay, and it was not properly cleaned before our arrival. There were visible stains in the bathrooms, the stovetop and vent hood were dirty, and basic necessities such as hand soap were missing. The towels provided smelled strongly of mold and urine, making them unusable. Additionally, communication from the property management company was poor and unresponsive. Overall, the condition of the home did not meet basic cleanliness or hospitality standards, especially given the price and expectations set by the listing.”airbnb
