White Lotus Eco Spa Retreat's guest rating of 4.79 is below average and may adversely impact performance. “Good little place to stay. Good instructions and directions. Parking was hard to locate at night. Jetted tub was not working. Otherwise as advertised.”airbnb

“Nice place, close to the park, giant space and bigger bed. I eas hoping to use the sauna, but there are many buildings on the property and no map of what was public space or where the sauna was or how to fire it up. Otherwise as described.”airbnb

“Hobbit house was unique. Didn't care to use the public hot tub and sauna. There are a couple community buildings with rental rooms inside. Felt like I was invading on someone else's privacy. Should probably put the community rooms together with better signage. Overall the property was nice in need of a little maintenance and upkeep. Disc golf baskets had no tee pads to start at. So no layout. One worker said if we wanted to use the sauna to be prepared to see naked people, witch was definitely a turn off.”airbnb

“Was a nice stay of the beaten path. Cozy cabin reset, just don't think the price reflects the rental. The most expensive cabin I've stayed in so far with the most the leave desired. Nice stay, just wasn't worth the price. The bedroom AC just couldn't keep up so it stayed hot upstairs the entire trip to the point we considered sleeping downstairs, they have a French press, but the grinder was broken so unusable with the supplies they provided. Don't feel overall this cabin lives up to the cost.”airbnb

“We appreciated what the property had to offer, but unfortunately encountered several issues during our stay. First, the shower curtain was not long enough, allowing the tub to be visible from outside. We contacted the host immediately, and someone came the next day to fix it. Regardless, we shouldn’t have had to shower our first night concerned about our privacy. We were also uncomfortable finding that someone entered our room while we were out to put a dehumidifier inside without notifying us beforehand. We would have been fine with this if we had been contacted first. Lastly, cleanliness was a major issue. There were webs and spiders in every corner, stains on the walls, and dirty floors. After showering, our feet became dirty just from walking across the room. We were celebrating our anniversary and chose not to let these issues ruin our trip by continuously complaining. Now that our stay is over, we feel it is important to share this feedback so these issues can be addressed.”airbnb

“i really liked staying in the hobbit house. it was so cute and even more unique and interesting looking from the outside than the photos. you really are in the middle of the woods, which was so cool. the ac was nice and cold and the bathrooms and bed were nice and clean. i did have a few things i didn’t love. several of the amenities were not in working order/ it was unclear how to use them. the sauna was wood fired and didn’t have clear instructions posted. the cool dip pool was abandoned and dirty with pool floaters and other things floating around. if you wanted to use the hot tub, you had to figure it out yourself. i could also see several buildings that may have been usable in the past, but were now falling apart. it felt like the spa had been nice but fallen into disrepair. also, the hobbit house door/key code was given months in advance, and some of the doors didn’t have real locks. there was a bit of an eerie vibe. overall, it was fun for a night but i don’t know id be back.”airbnb

“To be transparent, we were not happy with the “amenities” offered. There was no newspaper or kindling or anything to start the sauna, the dip pool was uninviting, and the hot tub was in shambles and not even filled. The paths to get there were somewhat difficult to navigate (unmarked, not fully cleared). It would have been helpful to have a little more information about the amenities on the AirBnb listing. Aside from that, the Hobbit House itself was lovely. We loved the privacy and the layout of the space, perfect for a night away. The land is absolutely stunning. I’d recommend tending to these spaces for the next person who stays here.”airbnb

“We decided to leave this stay early due to safety issues and concerning behavior from residents who live on the property full time. On our second night there, one of the residents ran around shirtless for almost an hour yelling "get the f--- out of here" and "call the police." We thought about reaching out to the host, but the unit we were in did not have a deadbolt. Some of the residents clearly also worked there, and we received the code for the door a month before our stay which made us concerned about whether residents had the code and could retaliate if we complained. Around 1am, someone came into the communal kitchen yelling on the phone that a tree fell down on a wire and caused a fire on the property. We tried to call the host and it went straight to voicemail. The next morning we received a one-sentence apology when we asked about what happened. In general, there was uncleanliness, creepiness, no smoke detector, etc. I didn't ask for a refund, just warning others.”airbnb

“The room was mostly great. There was a fruit fly problem and the jacuzzi bath tub only had 3 jets working. They also burned really strong incense before our arrival that gave me a HORRIBLE migraine for the entire day. I wish they asked before burning it. The listing needs to be updated badly. The yhat wasnt accessible, the hot tub was nearly empty and dirty, and worst of all there was no castle! One of the big reasons I booked this place was to explore a castle and use the hot tub. "The Castle" was just a regular building, its false advertising and was very disappointed. Also the roof in the communal part of the barn was leaking water and I stepped in it in my socks while we were playing darts. This place is cool, but they really need to update things, do maintenance, and take care of the property better over all.”airbnb

“The property is beautiful but the house was far from satisfactory. There was no central heating and the wall units and space heater did not suffice. It was cold. There was no bed stand. The lighting was very dim and there was no place you could read a book after dark. The directions provided could have been better. I was told I could launch a kayak on the property but the river was shallow and not suited for kayaking and it would have been difficult to launch a kayak. Every so often something from the forest would land on the tin roof. The house is not inviting.”airbnb
