Wanderlust Prescott Retreats

Wanderlust Prescott Retreats's guest rating of 4.76 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“My husband and I loved the space. It was beautifully designed, clean, had everything we needed and amazing views. We enjoyed the hot tub, comfortable bed, relaxing backyard space and super private. We will definitely stay here again.”airbnb

“This house was nothing less than the “House of Filth”! Once, maybe it was nice, but now it’s a in awful shape. With zero maintenance, zero repairs, and absolutely NO effort to clean properly—just minimal tidying from one guest to the next—you PAY for a stay in a house that’s falling apart and gross! I wish I could upload pictures to prove how awful this place truly is. From the moment you walk in, the smell hits you. Every bed had hair and stains—disgusting beyond words. The queen mattress had a urine stain—yes, you read that right—double-check yourself because you might be sleeping on someone else’s filth! The carpets and rugs stained & filthy! The master bedside table had hair and clipped fingernails—absurdly gross! The kitchen counters and table were covered in stuck-on food. The walls and baseboards are grimy and dirty! The air filters are black! Outside furniture? Worn-out, broken, useless junk. They are seriously ripping people off by renting this home out in this condition!”airbnb

“There was an issue with the previous renters not leaving the property. However the property manager did communicate with me regarding that situation and I was compensated for the inconvenience. Unfortunately we found lots of bugs inside the home to include two scorpions and a cockroach, ants in the kitchen, spiders and a cricket. After reaching out to the property manager, I was told that an exterminator came out but unfortunately the bugs continued throughout the rental term. The home was not as well maintained as expected. There were beer caps in the back, cigarette butts in the front yard, major stains on the carpets, multiple lightbulbs out throughout the property, no paper towels or laundry soap, no extra of debris left on the hard floors. Outside there was a lot of plant debris and weeds should have been removed. Despite all this, the bathrooms were clean along with the kitchen, except for the major spill in the bottom of the freezer. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet.”airbnb

“The cabin was poorly cleaned. There was a lot of dust in the lights and on the fans. So much that it was falling off when we turned them on. There was toothpaste on the wall of the bathroom, hairs stuck to the wall, and a gob of hair stuck in the squeegee in the shower. Most of the bedding was either stained and/or ripped. The kitchen items were not well cleaned and the dishwasher smelled terrible while running it. Lastly, the outside furniture was poorly maintained with broken items and ripped cushions.”airbnb

“The location in Walker, just outside Prescott, is fantastic. The views are beautiful, and it feels remote while still being close enough to town. The house itself is very nice, but the nightly rate felt overpriced compared with other Prescott-area properties we have stayed in at a similar price. The property could use more upkeep and a more thorough cleaning. It is overcrowded with décor, including Christmas decorations, and was very dusty. We also found hair in the shower, a stained towel in the primary bathroom, and rat droppings on the balcony table, even though the cleaners had just left. We also had to wait for them to leave the driveway at check-in time. The cookware needs upgrading, and several kitchen items could have been cleaner. This is not a bad place, and the location and views are excellent. Unfortunately, it feels more like an investment property that is not being maintained to match the price.”airbnb

“The home is in a great location but needs some updates and better cleaning prior to a guests arrival. There were cigarette butts in the garage as well as the backyard. We also found a pair of worn underwear when we went to get in the jacuzzi. The beds need to be replaced as well as pillows as they were quite uncomfortable. Could be a great place to stay with some updates.”airbnb

“Pros: The home included all amenities that would be needed. Plenty of towels, pillows, blankets, and supplies were provided. Ac worked well. Location close enough to drive to Whiskey Row activities. Overall, the home was clean and accommodated our family well. Cons: Had ants throughout the home: kitchen, bathtub, and bathroom sink despite not preparing any food. Driveway was very steep and we had difficulty parking our van without scraping the bottom. This home is definitely not for persons with mobility issues. Mattress is not very comfortable. Outdoor patio areas and furniture were not swept or cleaned so they were unusable. Some dewebbing and pest control for the outdoor spaces would help.”airbnb

“Upon arrival at 4pm, the door code did not work. I texted the contact phone number and called the main office number and waited 15 minutes for a response. Then was treated like I didn’t know how to use the door code. The office worker then stated she was 10 minutes away. 10 minutes later she calls to tell me that it’s open per her online account. I check again and nothing. She then states again she is 10 minutes away and is on her way. At 4:45pm, I finally get in and the office worker states the battery was low and that’s why the code did not work. Then the couch cushions do not cover the entire couch. The parking in back barely fit our truck and there’s zero street parking. Lastly the sink had left over food in the drain. I would not recommend this home as the current mgt company stated they have 50 homes they oversee and that’s probably the issue.”airbnb
