“This unit is perfect for location and access to the local amenities. The only pull back is that the bikes and reservations for beach wear listed are at beaches that are 5/10 minutes away from PB. The unit photos are from quite a while ago, and don’t match what you see advertised.”

“This place was a fantasic location. It was clean and no issues. I would recomend. A little AC would be nice but no big deal really. All the beach equipment was really great to have available to us.”

“I would say the major perk for this place is it is about a 30 second or less walk to the beach. It’s very cozy and it has the necessities. The fact that the rental shop membership is included in the price is a huge perk. Me and my two kids had a great time with the bikes, rollerblades, longboards, body boards, surfboards, tandem bikes,.. You can just pop back over and swap it out for something else whenever you want. You are paying for the location. It’s not fancy by any means. But it works as a nice little hub for your adventures. I didn’t even rent a car. We Ubered everywhere and had groceries delivered. My only gripe, I suppose, would be that from the pictures it appears that you will have access to a rooftop patio with a potential view. This unit is ground floor. and has the ground floor patio with no access to the roof. Which is fine of course. My kids were just expecting the roof based on pictures. There are a cpl other units that share the same access gate and laundry room.”

“The house was great. It was clean and in a great location. The bike path was a huge plus. The only down side was there was a small issue with locking the door. We messaged as this was a safety issue and did not receive follow up until we figured it out. Also, a cleaner showed up with no notice while we were renting the space. We refused entry as we were insure if this was scheduled or a mistake, however Aaron never responded to confirm. The house itself was great, communication was not.”

“This is a very simple Airbnb bungalow. For the price we would have expected a higher standard. The fireplace actually didn’t work and the lady who came to check on it also didn’t resolve the problem. Overall it’s all fine but don’t expect too much”

“Cute, quaint home in a great location. Walkable to Hillcrest, with the convenience of a dedicated parking spot, which is hard to come by in this neighborhood. That said, a few things fell short of what we’d expect at this price point. Right when we arrived, we were met with a sign warning not to run multiple things at once (AC, microwave, hair dryer), ants in the kitchen sink, and a house that was quite hot. We understand it’s an older home and the middle of summer, but even with the portable AC running, it never really cooled down, it would help if the unit was turned on before check-in. On top of that, the WiFi was spotty and the TV glitched throughout our stay. Overall our stay was fine, but these issues added up and left us feeling like the property could use some updates and closer attention before guests arrive.”

“Alerted Aaron on day 1 of water pressure issue from bathroom faucet. He thanked me and said “his team” will be on it. No followup on outcome of “his team’s” assessment. Had to ask every day until he finally said “the plumber” needed to go into wall to fix the problem and had to wait til we checked out. He gave me AI generated responses. I don’t think the water pressure issue started the night we arrived. There was also a lot of noise from upstairs. Loud footsteps. Location worked out because we wanted to be close our daughter moving to SD that weekend but not a great experience.”

“Late check in due to cleaning crew not being ready. Noticeable pet smell and pet fur throughout unit. Dining chair is not safe to use. Guest in adjacent unit had two dogs that barked when owners were not home. AC works amazingly. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of street parking.”

“Big kahuna was beautiful, up a hill but walkable to many restaurants and coffee shops and beach. Incredible view from the top deck. Recommend having a golf cart to get around easier in town , just know you have to pay for earlier check in even an additional hour.”

“Really nice place. It was great for our toddler. The only complaint was that the floors were incredibly dirty. Really needed to be mopped. Our feet turned black within minutes if not wearing shoes.”
