“Beautiful spot with an amazing beachfront view, we got to see turtles on the day we arrived! The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and the provided beach chairs/ umbrella and cooler were a plus! Only one thing to note, the AC unit in the living room makes a buzzing sound so for those using the sofa bed and main bedroom you will hear overnight. Other than that amazing stay! Mahalo.”

“pros- Great place to stay, close to beach and pool! There are beach chairs and towels you can use. My family of 8 had a great time! cons- There are 4 minisplit units and they couldn't always keep up with keeping house cool in the afternoon sun. Overall we would definitely stay here again!”

“Amazing location, perfect for families. There are plenty of walkable options for food and of course the beach right being a few minutes away was the best. The unit also had beach chairs, wagon, and other beach essentials that made it instantly easy to jump over to the beach. For reference, 2 families (each with one toddler) stayed for this vacation.”

“Die Unterkunft sieht so aus wie auf den Bildern und die angegebene Ausstattung war vorhanden. Jedoch waren in einem der drei Zimmer immer wieder schwarze kleine Punkte auf dem Bett, wobei es sich wahrscheinlich um Termitenkot handelte. Da die Gastgeber sich nicht vor Ort befinden, war es recht umständlich mit ihnen zu kommunizieren (z.B. der Termin um sich dies anzuschauen wurde vergessen und wir mussten nachfragen). Wir wollten eine neue Unterkunft. Sie boten uns eine an, welche jedoch nicht die gleiche Ausstattung hatte, was uns dementsprechend nichts brachte. Zudem hätten wir Abends nicht mehr umziehen dürfen und am nächsten Morgen mussten wir erneut beim Gastgeber nachfragen, und um eine Lösung bitten. Wir erhielten eine Preisreduktion.”

“We were disappointed with the cleanliness of the unit at check-in (hair in drains, mold in water filter, etc.) I messaged the host, who responded quickly and eventually made it right. Also disappointing was the unit location. While advertised at the time with "the unit is a one minute walk to the sand," the condo was located at the back of the complex and closer to a ten minute walk. We appreciated how well stocked the condo was with kitchen and beach gear. Some of the beach gear was worn down and broken, but the hosts offered to switch it out for us. Overall, more run down than the listing suggested, but if you're willing to check everything out and ask for replacements and fixes after you arrive, the hosts are responsive.”

“The place was overall nice but missing a few things. Ac was only in bedrooms so the rest of the condo is very hot. It’s not the cleanest, floors will leave your feet black, and sheets had bloods stain on them. Some areas were overlooked by the cleaning crew. Freezer also leaks due to water buildup at bottom of freezer leaking on the floor they knew about the issue but did not fix it. Besides those issues the overlook on the balcony is nice and you can walk straight across to the beach. Also walkable to restaurants and stores.”

“We love the Hali hui kai building and have stayed here over 6 times in 3 years. Unfortunately unit 208’s mold problem and the onsite construction made the unit unsafe ( falling debris on walkways from overhead and insane amounts of flying sawdust ) . From the construction teams smoking , concrete jack hammering , and plumbing repair that stunk of fecal matter we changed our flight and went home early. The host offered a different unit 30 min away from our daily activities and we do not rent a car. We provided a listing that would work down the road. Honestly I should have asked air Bnb to refund the full trip and checked out then. The noise was even disruptive at the beach! Be aware there is onsite work for the next 1-2 months min. Across the street there is a 2 year huge building project. We love this best beach, 808 deli, and it’s less than 10 min to the tennis club for am drills. Perfect for dinner in Waimea each night. Shame re the mold and construction. Avoid 2026- 2027”
