“Was pretty disappointed about not having a pool and the beach access being blocked because of construction but other than that the room was very clean and cozy. The building was super quiet and the view from the balcony was breathtaking.”

“I need to be real about Renata’s condo. The condo itself is nice, and the view is definitely the best part. The location and the view from her place are beautiful. However, the building itself is very outdated and currently under construction, so it doesn’t give you that nice vacation/resort feeling. There is also a noticeable smell throughout parts of the building, which was one of the first things we noticed when we arrived. The pool area is also pretty old and dated, and the other pool is currently closed, so the amenities are definitely not what I was expecting. Her actual unit is good, comfortable, and the view makes a big difference, but I think it’s important to separate the condo from the building. The condo is nice. The building and amenities are the disappointing part, especially with the construction going on right now.”

“The room itself was good. I just didn’t like the fact I didn’t know it was under construction. Pool was out of commission. Kind of noisy.”

“The room is ok, but bring bug spray, because the terrace has mosquitoes, probably due to rain + pool/deck renovation, since I have never seen mosquitoes in DB. Also, expect smell of cigs and else, cig butts on terrace despite NS sign. Beds & chairs in LR are comfy, AC is loud, 1 reason we didn’t give it a 5* is the 4pm checkin-10am checkout: it’s stricter than hotels in DB, it doesn’t feel like a vacation if you only book 1 night, u have to leave your stuff to cook up in the car, & no beach days (or pay more) because u can’t leave your car on deck b4 or after chk-in chk-out. Cleaning lady arrived at 10:05 (we weren’t ready) and was rude (no hello, just “check out is at 10”) and we have to clean kitchen and get trash out (forgot to clean coffee machine because we were so rushed. Sorry Renata!). For the price, we will take a hotel next time (same price as hard-rock hotel on booking), so we can leave at 11am. But I guess if you stay for a week, it’s ok because the chk-in/out is not so :-(”

“We arrived at 11am and the people at the desk said we could.go ahead to our room since the code worked to open the door. (We booked for 1 night after returning from a cruise) before heading back to Illinois. We was super excited since the place was right on the Beach. However not long after we got there we got a call from Renata that we was to early. I explained I thought it was available at 11 and what the front desk said. She said no its 4pm. She said it would be an additional $30 to the $250 already paid . I said we can just leave and come back at 4. We was super disappointed because we was leaving before 9am (which we did) the next morning since we had such a long drive. So to charge $281 for less then 24 hours was ridiculous. Plus both pool / splash pad outside was closed down so the little ones was not able to enjoy that area. The deck chairs on the dwck was at eye level of the railing so you had to stand to see the views. Over all disappointed and felt cheated.”

“Everything was great including the view,beds, and location to the beach. Until we was going to look out the balcony and right at the sliding door was a big roach. We tried communicating with the host and she seemed rude when we was trying to explain the situation after we mentioned we was going to another place. She did in fact say she would get an exterminator over but it would be until tomorrow morning. Reneta then said “for the record the exterminator came and didn’t see no roach activity”. I even sent a picture to her showing that it was in fact there. It could’ve very been easily behind the curtains of the sliding door leading to the balcony.”

“Condo was clean, wasn’t aware that the pool was closed until we got there. Parking lot was a long way from the condo due to construction and beach access was on the whole total other side of the building.”

“The room was wonderful, however there was no parking pass in the room. Fortunately my vehicle did not get towed. The outdoor pools that are on the website were closed and very dirty. Our ocean view balcony was right above the pools under construction; which diminished the pristine view of the ocean. Overall it was a good stay and I would recommend anyone to go here. Just be aware of beach erosion and construction.”

“Very disappointed in Renata's communication and the way she responds when there's a problem! My husband and I stayed 3 nights during Memorial Day, paid over $600! First the remote was giving us problems, she sounded as if I was bothering her because I couldn't get the sound! then the bottom lock on door wouldn't lock. I sent her text explaining in detail that the bolt works but bottom lock doesn't, she calls, the first thing she says "it's a holiday and I'm not a locksmith" well duh, figure it out Renata!! after waiting 20 mins, she sent someone to the room to figure out the problem, all she had to say very nicely was "bottom lock doesn't work, use key lock on keypad and it will lock the bolt lock! Simple!! I felt really small after the maid had to show me that!! ruined my whole day!! I should have been treated better! shame on you Renata!! I WON'T BE BACK!! 👎”
