TYCA Rental Properties's guest rating of 4.77 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Everything is great until you take a shower. The water temperature was unstable and on the lower side. So we felt cold during the shower. Otherwise, it would be a perfect stay with the spacious kitchen and rooms.”airbnb

“Great place in a quiet neighborhood. Extremely clean! Would stay there again if in the area again.”airbnb

“I stayed here for two nights, everything was perfect and the pictures definitely match the actual property. It’s also in a great location, Queen Street in Southington is right around the corner”airbnb

“My family and I had a great stay at Tyca’s place. The property was as described, and we especially loved spending time by the lake and enjoying the fire pit. We also had fun fishing and kayaking during our stay. The location was peaceful and made for a relaxing getaway. While there were a few minor items that could be improved, they did not take away from our overall experience. We enjoyed our vacation and would consider staying again.”airbnb

“Nice, clean place with ample sleeping quarters. Kitchen decently stocked; bathrooms a little small and limited for the number of people the house can accommodate. Neighborhood not ideal for visiting Middletown - a ways out of town and street was quite crowded - but house comfortably accommodated 7 people for a long weekend stay.”airbnb

“The house itself was great and felt upscale and comfortable. We enjoyed the modern appliances, comfortable furniture, and beautiful patio. Anyone would be very comfortable here and the experience was far better than a hotel. Truly a gem of a house. However, the house rules were rigid and confusing. We brought our dog with us and anticipated to pay $30 per night. However, the host informed us after the cancellation period that our dog was not approved and therefore had to pay the $50 a day “unapproved pet” fee. The rules stated that an approved pet must be non-shedding hypoallergenic- this is confusing because our dog does not shed and the term hypoallergenic is vague from breed to breed. Additionally, the host refused to shorten our 8-day stay to a 7-day stay prior to our stay, as reservation changes are subjected to approval. We understand these rules, but found the unwillingness to remove a single day from the reservation rigid and unreasonable, as there was no schedule conflict.”airbnb

“The area was great. But for 3200$ for 2 weeks it needs to be as you stated in listing. And for 6400$ a month the couches should not be showing the wooden structure being hid by couch blankets. Both couches were bad.”airbnb

“Worst Airbnb experience I’ve had. The listing was not as described unreliable WiFi (I missed a full day of remote work), missing amenities, lack of privacy, and mouse traps in the unit. The most concerning part was the host’s behavior. He came to the property and watched us creeply through the glass front door without knocking or ringing the bell. As two women, this felt extremely intrusive and unsafe. There was also only one way in and out, so in that moment it felt like we had no clear way to exit. Airbnb support had already advised the host not to come due to his behavior, yet he still showed up. The host was argumentative and dismissive. I followed all instructions to resolve the issues, but nothing improved. Airbnb support was also disappointing.I provided photo evidence and spent an entire day trying to resolve this, but felt like the host’s claims were prioritized over my safety and experience. I would strongly caution others before booking this property.”airbnb

“The space was how it was described. The check in was by a by a keypad on front door. It must have had a failing battery as it took several attempts. But eventually it worked. I arrived at 11:00pm in 5 degree weather. The second night it didn’t work. Jeff gave me an alternative way to enter by my phone once I contacted him. Although he refused to call me and I found his texts defensive of his actions. And aggressive towards me questioning how to get in. The towel rake was not screwed in properly and was non usable in the bathroom. What bothered me the most was the lack of thank you and pleases as I was asked to take pictures. Not my favorite experience.”airbnb
