Manager Review

Tybee NB Hospitality

Tybee NB Hospitality's guest rating of 4.72 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“Overall the experience at this house was stressful. This house had so many issues, they impacted our ability to relax and enjoy ourselves. The house seemed in disrepair and not well cared for. It had boarded up windows beneath the house, bulging ceilings, and holes in the wall. The good: Management was responsive, the maintenance man John was helpful, saw dolphins from the beach. Not good: The first night the AC was leaking out of the ceiling so badly we had to put bowls and pots around and move furniture. We were told by management that we could use the mop to clean up the water. There was no mop. Also, non functional arcade machine with frayed wires. Doorknob in bedroom door is stuck and can't exit from the inside. Laundry room bathroom has a hole in it and lets in huge cockroaches and bugs. House dirty. Trash under furniture and dusty. Dishes dirty. Dishwasher filled with water. Broken porch swing. Blinds were missing in front windows on a busy street. Wish it had been better”

“Was disappointed and left a day early. Problems were addressed but to many problems that could had been handled before we got there. Cut the grass, get your doors to seal, flys in house are disgusting and visit property before guest arrive, they would have seen the leaking ceiling as half the family floor was covered.”

“This is a property with a great location and lots of potential, but it is not sufficiently maintained, especially the outside, none of which was usable other than the front porch. It was completely overgrown, and the outside furniture was very dirty and rundown. The inside of the house was surprisingly clean. I didn't expect it to be after the initial impression. The wall panels were a nice touch, different from any place I've ever rented. The restroom just off of the kitchen was very hot; ac was inoperable. Although we enjoyed our weekend, we were all disappointed and don't feel we got our money's worth. We made the best of it despite the shortcomings. As a paying customer, we should not have so settle.”

“Place fit the need, but clearly has considerable defferred maintenance, no one thing in particular just accumulated everywhere. Couch, furniture, towel racks broken, bugs.. laundry room door kicked in.. and left open. 2 weeks of restoration and odds and ends would go a long way and fit the assumption the pictures provide. i assume it was better maintained in the past..”

“Our stay was impacted by significant flooding during a rainstorm. Water entered the home through multiple areas, including walls, outlets and smoke detectors, creating serious safety concerns. We also observed tarps on the roof. The flooding damaged our luggage, which contained mine and my child’s clothing. Because there was no luggage rack available, our suitcase was stored on the floor, where water entered the home and soaked our belongings. As a result, we were left without dry clothes. While the property did have a washer and dryer, they were located outdoors and no laundry detergent was provided. Reaching the laundry area during the flooding required walking through water ranging from ankle-deep to calf-deep, making it unrealistic to wash and dry our clothing under the circumstances. To the host’s credit, he initially offered a full refund when we spoke by phone. However, the information later provided to Airbnb support differed from what had been communicated.”

“The location and cleanliness of the place was great. However, the noise from the apartment upstairs was horrible. Ended up having to call the police because of the noise. The guest upstairs decided to party all night. The host did not respond in the middle of the night to any of our emails or text. Also, I ended up missing work due to traffic blocking the exit from the driveway. Had to end up calling the police and Parking authorities to help handle the situation. It took four hours for me to finally get out of our driveway.”

“Villa looks just like photos however was unable to utilize the hot tub I asked to be compensated yet received only a one hour extension on my checkout time ! a guy came out to service it on my 2nd day that evening he told me that he was there to clean it and service it which was unexpected yet needed he told me he would perform a “shock” and I Could use it the next day yet the next day was my check out day I informed the host of what he told me and she stated that he told me wrong and that I could use it after two hours from he servicing it yet the horrible was more dirtier that before ! I I sent a video date and time stamp to the host yet she didn’t reply which is all time stamped. I’m a very good tenantOn AIR BNB based on reviews YET I’m very dissatisfied overall as the hot tub was a major draw for me booking”

“I’ve stayed in over 30 Airbnb properties, and unfortunately this was by far the most poorly maintained place I’ve experienced. The biggest concern was safety. The deck railings are loose, weak, and in some areas literally detached, creating a serious fall hazard for adults, children, or anyone leaning on them. Several deck boards were also loose, making the outdoor areas feel unsafe and neglected. The hot tub was another major issue. The water contained visible black debris, appeared uncleaned, and had little to no chlorine present. This raised serious concerns about sanitation. Warm, poorly maintained water can create conditions for Legionella bacteria, which thrive in stagnant or inadequately disinfected hot tubs and can cause Legionnaires’ disease when contaminated mist is inhaled. Because of this risk, we did not feel safe using it at all. Inside the house, overall cleanliness and upkeep were lacking.”

“I’m not sure where to Start…this place was a joke. His profile is advertised as specialising in luxury. When we got out of the car and were walking up I knew we were in trouble. The outside of the house needs maintenance in the worst way. To start when we went to the door the door was broke where someone tried to pry it open. Inside, chipped paint everywhere! The kitchen cabinets are falling apart, such cheep cookware. The first bathroom had cracks all over the walls. The tile had been painted. It was awful. Not to mention the architectural nightmare that was this house. It had been “remodelled “ but there were windows that opened up into closets on the other side, windows that connected the bedroom and living room. It could have been a nice house if someone hadn’t tried to make two units out of it. There was a downstairs unit that was not advertised in this listing. Every piece of trim in that house was gouged with chipped paint. The furniture looks like it was bought on marketplace”
