“Can’t be the location and size of this cabin! Our family had a great stay here.”

“I loved this cabin, was very homey. There is some more cleaning that could be done, but other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“Last minute rental 4th of July weekend, was pleased to find this available. What was disappointing is it says dogs are welcome with prior permission. I had to message several times to receive a response and was then told no, we could not bring our 12 year old pittie due to her breed. We rent for two weeks every year in Strawberry for the last 12 years and have never had an issue with bringing our family dog. To throw salt in the wound, there’s a dog bed there for those lucky enough to be given permission and the blanket in the bedroom downstairs was covered with dog hair. The cabin itself was lovely and fairly clean. I do not feel it should be our responsibility to roll the garbage cans out to the street, I feel that should be done by owners or cleaning crew. I would love to say we’d consider renting here again, but the fact that they won’t allow our family dog when others are welcome is a definite deterrent.”

“The worst Airbnb you can reserve for vacation. I have never had such an experience as this. For 8 people staying for 3 days, they only provided 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 4 pods, and washing powder for just 2 runs. All the towels smelled awful (we had to wash them before using them), and the dishes smelled of eggs. They pictured paddles but hid them, then took a few hours to reply when asked where they were. So we had to drive back from the lake to get them. On our last day, the Wi-Fi cut out. Because the location has zero cell service, we were completely cut off. I guess the host heavily limits the internet connectivity. I am really unhappy with this terrible cabin and terrible host. If we could cancel, we would. Avoid this place because they are cheap and stingy.”

“Bathroom trash was full, coffee pot had not been emptied, kitchen floor had not been mopped. Besides clean towels left on each bed it really didn’t look like the cabin had been cleaned. It was nice being so close to the lake and was very peaceful just wished the cabin was clean.”

“Pros: Great location, spacious house, well-equipped kitchen. Cons: many small things usually provided for a weekend rental were lacking: bath mats, extra TP, extra garbage bags, shampoo, bath soap, working batteries in remotes, etc. We also had an issue with the heating - the lower level (1 br, pull-out, game room) apparently takes many, many hours of pushing what feels like cold air out of the single vent to warm up the space, and really ought to be pre-heated by management for guests in winter. We suffered through one night with the temp down there below 50, and then they tried to charge us for the hvac calls we requested since it seemed like the heater wasn’t working. Apparently, it was working but needed to run (again, feeling cold to the touch) for a day or so to effectively warm the space, but management didn’t seem to know that and of course we didn’t either. Once the lower level finally reached a comfortable temperature we enjoyed our stay.”

“Great location and our family had a ton of fun. We were prepared for the snow and had a 4x4 vehicle. We did have some challenges when we lost power and were snowed in. The host gave us a number for a local snowblower who response to us was “not sure”. Also the home did not have a first aid kit or bandaids. And the power outage in the storm was tough given there were no candles, no batteries, no generator, and virtually nothing to assist in those situations. We found one old flashlight in a cabinet with dead batteries. I would def recommend the homeowner equip the winter cabin w lanterns, flashlights, candles and a first aid kit. Other than that the cabin and size and location was great.”

“2 families traveling to spend time together, it really was a great house with quite a few problems. No toilet paper in the bathrooms and no trash bags in the garbage can upon arrival. One roll brought per bathroom only when some was given to us, so glad we brought extra. Water pressure in the home was terrible. If someone flushed a toilet the water stopped everywhere else. Day 4 stay we finally got a plumber out to the site for the repair. The dishwasher leaked and left large puddles of water in the kitchen and the lower rack in the dishwasher flies out every time you open the dishwasher and lands on the floor. The game room was fantastic for our preteen boys except the Big Buck Hunter game doesn't work. We were BBQing chicken our last night there and the propane ran out. And the propane in the fire pit was out also. For the money these details matter when trying to find a stress free location for vacation.”

“The house is nice and would be good for a family but not a group as there is really only one bedroom. The backyard had a solid high fence which was great for out dogs. We found the bedding to be less than ideal, the sheets and pillows seemed old and the comforter was a thin budget option from target, not great for a place that gets decently cold. The comforter was also in the dryer, but not dry and the bed wasn’t made because the cleaner had to leave before finishing. Also, if you’re planning to cook be warned that the pans are all very old worn out nonstick pans, but there are decent pots and baking pans.”
