“Great location for a short stay in La Jolla but warning there is no AC in bedrooms nor are there fans. The beds are also very soft and the amenities are minimal for a family stay… no condiments, no beach toys etc.”

“Great location. Inconsiderate hosts. The home was infested with thousands of ants. And I do mean thousands, all over the floors, walls, furniture, even in the bed. I sat on the couch before I realized and became covered in ants. The hosts said they would send in a cleaning team, they never showed.”

“Really great location! Solana beach was awesome. Unfortunately the ac wasn’t working and there was a leak in the ceiling one of the rainy nights. Besides that a great stay!”

“The listing is not as nice as it appears in the images. Firstly it is located in a back alley, the rooftop is very run down and and all the plants are dead, the apartment doesn’t have ac in the main bedroom, the bedding was cheap very uncomfortable pillows, and we had trouble getting in when we first arrived. It’s very high priced for the quality of the apartment, we all didn’t sleep well and I wouldn’t stay here again. That being said the area is beautiful, lots of cafes and cool restaurants nearby.”

“The hosts were very responsive but not good at recommendations on where to go with luggage. I asked if we could check in early or drop off our luggage we were told no because of the cleaners being there, I asked if they had recommendations on where to go that was close to the Air bnb with luggage and that we were using ride shares on our trip. Our host suggested The Mothership and another place but when we got there they were closed, so we were homeless for 2 hours before we were able to enter. Once we got to the house it smelled so bad like curry. The hosts did say they would send air fresheners but we declined. I asked if we could check out an hour later and were told no but were sent the departing instructions and said we could book for another day, we just wanted an extra hour because our flight was delayed. We were also asked to bring in their packages. Overall it was fine but not very accommodating like my past experiences with Air BNB.”

“Enjoy your stay a lot. The description is as mentioned, I would only add that it is on the first floor. From the moment you enter it looks and feels comfortable. It is very well located, the airport is nearby but the noise is tolerable, we had no trouble sleeping and they still leave you earplugs in case you need them. In general, the house was very clean, only the back terrace was a little neglected. It is on a first level and the stairs are safe but very steep. We were in a strong heat wave and the air did not cool down quickly. It doesn't have parking, although you can get parking nearby as long as you arrive early, after 8 pm we had to leave the car 4 blocks from the house. If it has some things that could be improved in general, but without a doubt we would rent it again!! ☺️”

“I traveled with my one year old, four year old, husband and parents. I was under the impression this was a family friendly residence. The first evening we were there within 3 hours of check in I got a message from the host indicating that the residence was not a "jungle gym" and my children could go play down the street at the park. My children were playing very appropriately, they're small and I'm sure their walking/toddling up and down the hall does make some noise but I was unaware this would be a problem. I did not respond to the message. The message was then copy and pasted and sent again. I didn't respond again. The message was copy and pasted and sent again to which I finally responded that I would be unable to keep my young children from playing. Sending multiple texts with the verbiage used felt extremely rude and to be honest was off putting to my entire family. We would not stay here again as it did not feel family friendly with this type of communication.”

“This is a good spot for a beach vacation without a wild price. You are less than a block away -- literally right behind one of the ocean front hotels. You can walk right out the door to the boardwalk. There are bike racks to lock bikes and it is fairly quiet. You also have a carport so you don't have to hassle with street parking, but I will say it was extremely tight parking to get into. The apartment did have a portable AC unit and ceiling fans, but we were there during an extreme heat wave, so it was rather toasty. The apartment is on the second story (heat rises) and has limited airflow (no ocean breeze), so just be aware if your sensitive to temps, but it was manageable even during the extreme heat wave. We ended up moving the portable AC unit to the bedroom so we could sleep at night. Heads up that the bed makes a lot of noise with minimal movement. Overall it was a good stay for the price. It wasn't perfect but it decent beach stay.”

“This was my first time staying in Ocean Beach. This Airbnb was super walkable to the beach, shops and restaurants! As a solo traveler I felt safe walking around the area. Like others have said, it is in a flight path so bring ear plugs if you are a light sleeper. The unit itself is so cute, has a great size kitchen, wonderful shower and comfortable bed. Recommend bringing extra towels for the beach too! Also highly recommend going to Mike’s Tacos and Sourdough & Moore.”

“Alloggio come da foto, tuttavia al mio arrivo ho visto particolari non pulitissimi asciugamani con segni, utensileria da cucina non pulitissima. Host molto reattivo nulla da dire. Durante il soggiorno abbiamo avuto anche problemi con gli scarichi della fogna del lavello della cucina, dovuto a qualcuno che aveva ostruito i tubi con qualcosa dai piani di sopra. Quindi l’host ha saputo gestire bene e velocemente la situazione nonostante fosse una situazione molto difficile da gestire con idraulici fino in tarda serata e poi pulizie del vano.”
