Tower 17 Properties & Management's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“A beautiful, clean home right on the beach! Better than in the pictures . Perfect location next to Balboa and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. This is our second time working with Tower 17 properties and it won’t be our last! Definitely recommend 😊”airbnb

“Amazing location, easy check in. Walking distance from the beach and so many things to do. The inside was quiet and we slept well. The WiFi was slightly spotty which was challenging as someone who works remote. The property management group did send someone out within an hour to check it out though which was much appreciated. Overall great place to stay in Newport!”airbnb

“This place was great. It was close to the beach & walking distance to the local restaurants & shops. It is on the corner of a busy street, so there’s lots of traffic, but for the most part was quiet & it felt safe. Would definitely stay here again!”airbnb

“The only thing positive I can say about this property is the location. Right on the boardwalk and beach. Other than that the house is trash. This site was very run down and basic. The paint was pealing, trim broken, glass on sliding door to the view was foggy and needing repair. Beds were uncomfortable. Sliding windows didn’t lock. There were 5 large slotted spoons but no spatulas. Very poor selection of utensils as well as pots and pans. Made it hard to use the kitchen for meals. I would never recommend this site to anyone.”airbnb

“It was a great location but the unit needs maintenance. One window and doorwall had ocean view. Half of window was broke so couldn’t see out of it. Most blinds were broke. Dishwasher didn’t work. The back of the house gets very hot. There are fans but it’s still hot. The neighbors below and beside were extremely loud. So loud it ruined Saturday night. It could be a great unit with maintenance and enforcing their quiet hours. Management tried to clean the window but that won’t fix a broken window. (It was fogged/dirty between panes). I got tired of asking them to fix things. It didn’t help. I felt like for the money I paid everything should have been functioning. When management realized everything that was wrong they should have reduced price.”airbnb

“This property should never have been rented in its condition. This was not “a few issues” -it was obvious long-term neglect throughout the home. Most windows would not open or opened sideways/off-track, the fridge door was broken and wouldn’t close, the front sliding door lock was broken and we had to use a WOODEN STICK to secure it, blinds were broken and the shower doors were so detached and dangerous they had to be removed entirely during our stay because someone could have seriously gotten hurt!!! There was no gas in the fire pit, every pan in the kitchen was warped and unusable, and during a rainy night the ceiling leaked into the living room badly enough that we spent hours awake collecting water. Management responded during the stay, but these were clearly longstanding problems. Afterward, we were repeatedly promised calls from management. Nobody ever called. No voicemail, no follow-up, nothing. This place has serious safety and maintenance issues. Please reconsider your booking”airbnb

“One of the main reasons I rented it was for the game room for my daughter and her teenage friends to be able to use the game room which the arcade games did not work and was told nothing about it until after I called them to ask. For a multimillion dollar home it really didn't feel or look like it. It has to be because it's in California and location. The location is good and close to the beach. Overall for how expensive it was it is an average place to stay.”airbnb

“We had continual problems with lights and outlets in the bathrooms and bedrooms. The sub panel breaker kept tripping as soon as electricity was used in these areas. As an example, we had to turn off lights, TV, etc. if someone wanted to use a blow dryer. Lights went off during showers and bathroom trips. I was not able to use my CPAP which affected my sleep. I reported this on our first night. The help the host stated never came, and the host stopped communicating. Needless to say, this was pretty unacceptable. We should have had access to all that was promised. With our stay at this Airbnb at about $1200.00 a night, one would expect electricity and communication with the host. Lastly, and most frustrating, is that the host knew about this problem before our stay.”airbnb
