Tower 17 Properties

Tower 17 Properties's guest rating of 4.75 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“In hot weather, this unit is miserable. If the weather is cool, it's a pleasant place to stay.”

“Our stay here was really good. The duplex fit our two families nicely, and the hosts were very responsive. We had a problem getting into the garage on our first night, but they responded quickly, even though the issue persisted throughout our stay. Also, a few notes to highlight...these things are noted but can be missed. The top unit is fairly small with one small bathroom, while the downstairs unit is very roomy and has 3 bathrooms. There's also no AC, which is fine with the breeze from the ocean and open windows, but something to keep in mind if you're not used to it! Open windows mean neighborhood sounds and sirens. We enjoyed our stay!”

“This place had an amazing location and super cozy inside! Very spacious and had everything we needed. We loved the neighborhood and the unit itself. Only thing I would say needs some improvement is the check in insurrections but we were able to get in after some time. Also didn’t realize it’s on the second floor so our luggage was a bit heavy to carry upstairs. But overall a good stay and great location.”

“Great spot for just the two of us for a long weekend on the beach. Very walkable, nice neighbors, very central and on the beach. The shower is great, although not a coat hanger or a hook anywhere to hang anything up (towels, clothes). Other than that, as advertised. Note no washer and dryer (also as advertised) but plenty of clean linens, towels and spotless.”

“The location right at Balboa pier with the boardwalk, restaurants and amenities right out the door was awesome. We enjoyed an easy walk to the beach and parking was much easier than we were expecting. The house was plenty big, clean and somewhat updated. There was a smell in the living room that we weren't sure where it was coming from, except maybe the couch? There were enough towels for a couple of days but could have used more. We tried to do a load of laundry and found both the washer and dryer were defective and were left with really wet towels. When we called, they immediately responded and sent a repairman. He was able to fix the dryer but I am not sure about the washer. The lack of A/C was an issue but they tell you that beforehand. When we tried to use the chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, bikes and ect in the garage, we found most of them too worn out or broke to be of much use.”

“Very loud area at night. The house was also very hot despite box fans without AC”

“Extremely warm during stay - no AC was an issue due to extreme heat wave. Other than that we loved the place”

“If people are upstairs it is noisy. If you sit on the patio dust is always falling down and if they spill a drink you are going to get wet. Floor through the wholes place are thin”

“Upon arrival the gas bill for the property was not paid. We had no working appliances ex. No hot water, gas oven was not working, freezer was broken, and lights in kitchen broken. We had zero privacy as we had a technician in the apartment every day. They gave us a foam cooler in replacement of the freezer. We lost all the food we bought. Gas took 3 days to turn on. Apartment is nice but if you like working appliances maybe another property may be better. I also had to meet the gas company on my vacation in order to get gas turned on. Just ridiculous when trying to enjoy vacation”

“Nice and clean. Beach supplies which is really nice. Kitchen is not stocked so didn’t end up cooking. Patio was a fun spot to hang out in during the evening.”
