“Rowdy guests in next room made for a long night. Room was adequate as a place to sleep and shower but is not a place to spend time and relax. Bed was comfortable. Problems with dresser drawers falling apart.”

“The check in was easy and the area was a good area, but it was very dirty the couch had a few stains on it and when we went to fold out the couch into a bed there was months worth of crumbs between the cushions. And there was a very distinct cigarette and mildew smell in the entire apartment.”

“I'd rate 3.5 stars if I could. A converted motel using Airbnb for marketing. There's no front desk. The owners turned 2 original rooms into one enlarged suite; bed+bath are on one side. Plenty of space at a good price--particularly for Rapid, which becomes a ripoff in tourist season. Everything was mostly clean & functional--kitchen, bath, bed, wifi--but it's basically no-frills. The seating isn't great. For HVAC, there's a so-so window unit in one room, with a floor fan provided to move air to the other side. The TV is above average with cable access. Communication was OK & generally clear. I did get a phone call answered quickly. My larger pet peeve is that Airbnb annoyingly separates important info into multiple emails. (I don't use the app.) So the receipt, greeting, check-in info & more can be totally disconnected. The further challenge here is an unusual system to distribute room keys, which involves a hotel-like key card plus a fob. It all does work but be forewarned.”

“At first sight, the kitchen and living room seemed ok. But the place was not clean. There were dead bugs in the shower and the bedroom floor. I found trash and dirt behind the nightstand and a dirty tissue under the dresser. I took photos of everything and immediately called the host. He refunded me the fee but I still had to go find a place to stay that night with my family. Beware, the Sojourn is on a very busy road, it’s noisy. Overall, we had a terrible experience.”

“Deadbolt didn’t work & only way to lock it was from the outside with hotel-like key card so you just had to go through the instructed locking process & hope it was actually locked. I got there late night so I didn’t msg as I was solo & host was male so natural awareness. It didn’t match the photos, it was not very clean, hair on sink & vanity (weirdly tall btw, children wouldn’t be able to reach), hair in uncleaned tub, hair in bed, dirty silverware. Mysterious crusty stains on the sofa so didn’t sit. AC worked well & self-check-in was good. Host didn’t answer msg in AM & then when I went to leave he was walking around the property on his phone. He was at the key box & said he’d take my key when I went to return it & when I hesitated he said it was fine bc he was host. When I mentioned the deadbolt he just said ok, said he’d check it out, didn’t mention not replying to prev. msg. Bold to request you take your own trash & wash dishes. Msg after left that I should ask to fix next time.”

“Signs around the place say doors don’t auto lock behind you, but I got locked out at 6am by myself taking my dog for a potty break.”

“Great place to stay for a few days. Close to lots of nearby restaurants and downtown. My only complaints are that the one cooking pan didn’t have a handle attached, there was no cooking spray and no cleaning supplies to wipe down the stove with.”

“Ac on covers the kitchen so bedroom is hot, people upstairs are noticeable the whole time, kinda annoying, traffic is noisy. Good stay”
