“Unfortunately, our stay was disappointing, especially for the price we paid. We traveled with our young children and had several safety concerns, including mold inside the downstairs closet and outside, an exposed pipe, and extremely poor lighting around the pool. Only some string lights worked, and the pool area was still very dark, making it difficult to even see the water. This was especially concerning with children. We reported these issues to the host and were told someone would come address them, but nobody ever came. We also initially had no idea where basic supplies were located because there were no instructions. We later found toilet paper in a supply closet, but only after purchasing our own. The host was made aware of these concerns, but they were never properly resolved during our stay. For the price, we expected much better maintenance, communication, and attention to safety.”

“Beautiful home, however pool was unusable and room was dirty upon arrival due to hole patch work. The room had a heavy plaster smell and didn’t want to put kids in there. Host was sending cleaners and pool guy to fix issues, however the algae was very bad and pool shock would have took longer than our stay. Host would not respond to Airbnb support only with guest when attempting to cancel the remainder of the stay. Host stated if you stay we will provide a discount for 1 night not the other 3 or cancel and pay full price for one night. When we told them we wanted to cancel host stated you need to check out by 10am even though we only had 10min to check out or we would be charged another day while on the phone with Airbnb support trying to understand why we were being charged full price for the night. We really wished it would have worked out.”

“The house layout worked very well for our family, and my kids absolutely enjoyed the pool, which was definitely the best feature of the house. While the property was generally clean, it felt overly worn down and poorly maintained for the premium nightly rate we paid. We encountered peeling paint in the master bathroom, missing faucet stoppers, cracks in the ceilings, and a washing machine rim heavily coated in mildew. Note that the listing states there are "no smoke alarms," but we found physical units throughout the house that were non-functional or ripped out of the ceiling, which was a safety concern. At this price point, we expected a much higher standard of maintenance and care.”

“The front door was the first sign of the nightmare. It was covered in dead insects and spider webs. The upstairs patio was not usable due to the amount of insects (dead and alive) and dust/dirt. Cleaners came over to address the issue but it was too dirty for them to clean it throughly. They claimed pest control company was required🤔🤔. A rainstorm came in and water from the patio leaked through the living room and dining room ceiling. Drywall started falling down and separated from the wall. The hosts never sent over a maintenance worker to address the issue. We couldn’t use the space due to safety concerns. This has clearly happened before as the repairs are visible. They only want money and are not concerned with your safety.”

“This is the first time I’ve made a lower score for an Airbnb. I found the rules to the Airbnb to be excessive and almost overwhelming, it felt like I was a tenant than a guest, I was worried I would miss something throughout reading the rules as I wanted to follow them. The rules and requirements felt like the host was doing a favor for me rather than being a paid guest. I also requested early check-in and was told I would hear back on that request but never received an update. Floors, tables, and counters were sticky. House had a “lived-in” odor throughout the house. Paint was scratched off walls. Toaster was broken, cooking utensils had grim and rust on them. I also almost tripped in the back patio due to the uneven pavers. Excessive wasps in the back with pesticide spray in case we needed it, which we did use. It just overall did not feel clean and I felt dirty in the house. It takes a lot for me to comment on something like this, and the host was nice. We won’t be coming back.”

“The location was convenient for our needs. The curb appeal was lack luster and had a door curtain filled with cobwebs and bugs to enter the door. Also massive wasp nest around the entrance and garage door area. Upon arrival we were notified the upstairs patio was off limits due to spiders. We quickly learned why as we found spiders and spider webs throughout every room in the house. The TVs were locked down to not be able to stream from your personal accounts. Laundry was left in the washing machine from previous tenants. Smudges on walls and bathroom door. Overall unsatisfied with the cleanliness completely.”

“Arrived and first noticed the house for sale sign. That was a red flag itself. Proceeded to enter and the lock box with key is hard to access. ( there is a keypad on front door so I’m not sure why it’s not set up for access) . Came in to get a drink of water , all cups were dirty and sticky with lip marks still on cups . Then wanted toto shower and no hot water. Waited 2 hours for a plumber to come and tell me it’s an electrical problem . So driving 8 hours to this was horrible ! I would not recommend!”

“This property felt like a bait-and-switch. The home was poorly maintained, unsafe in several areas, and did not match the listing photos. One of the two toilets didn’t work, closet racks were pulling out of the walls, closet doors were off track, curtain rods were loose, multiple light bulbs were burned out, & shower heads partially worked. The outdoor TV was unusable, the patio table was broken so the umbrella couldn’t be secured, a broken footrest & there were loose boards near the deck by the water. The listing also showed bunk beds that had been seperated before arrival. For 7 guests, there were only 4 pool towels, exactly 7 bath towels, 2 drinking cups, and no kitchen soap provided. There were also no visible pool depth markers, which raised safety concerns for families with children. We spent over half a day messaging & waiting for a handyman to address issues that should have been fixed before check-in. The property was not well kept or accurately represented. Pool was nice.”

“We really wanted to like this place, but it fell short in some very basic ways. The linens were visibly dirty on arrival, and we were welcomed by vomit and trash in the yard, porch, and even the living room… not exactly five-star hospitality. The house is extremely worn. Walls are dirty and marked up. The hall bath was barely usable. Half a shower door missing, loose fixtures, water getting dangerously hot, a toilet that runs nonstop, and a fan that sounds like it’s preparing for takeoff. The grill was unusable, with burners falling off and caked in grease. The pool was dirty, full of rotting leaves, and had a live rat in it, which really set the tone. The kitchen lacked basic cookware. We had to buy a pot just to cook. Washer and dryer were filthy and barely worked. Dock and benches feel unsafe with loose boards. Overall, this place needs serious cleaning, repairs, and attention before being rented again.”

“This house have a lot of moisture , humidity and I let the host or owner know about it and it looks like she didn’t are at all she there just to make her money, as soon we get to the place the door code was wrong, there was no power in the house.there is not spoons or forks to eat, I don’t recommend this place at all. And after I cancel it they still charge me $1,000 instead of re found the money back…”
