“The cabin was as described. It was clean, quiet, secluded, and all amenities listed were available. The king sized beds were comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. The hot tub was clean and everything was in working condition. The location is great for activities in the area. It is just down the road from Anna Ruby Falls, ziplining at Unicoi State Park and Helen just a few minutes away. We would definitely stay here again.”

“Not my cup of tea. I wouldn’t rent from Tanglewood again. I came down to Helen for a car event and specifically asked the host if my lowered vehicle would be okay driving - they said yes and I believed them. Oops. Very long story short, you will be driving on what is essentially a dirt path with loose gravel and extremely sharp turns (there’s signs saying the road is “accident prone” for about 3 miles and then going up a steep hill to get to the cabin. The cabin itself if you make there is beautiful. I really wish I could’ve stayed. My car ended up getting beached trying to leave and had to be towed. There’s extensive damage to the underside of my vehicle. All the host had to do was say that the cabin wasn’t good for lowered vehicles, just like the other 10 hosts I messaged for this trip did.”

“While we intended to stay at this location, we ultimately cancelled the reservation due to significant policy violations and safety concerns. ​Security Risk: The host sent a third-party link requiring our credit card details and a photo of a driver’s license. Upon clicking, we were directed to a fraudulent website—a clear violation of Airbnb’s Terms of Service. Airbnb Support confirmed this was a violation and intervened. ​Check-in Issues: Despite being told we would receive our access code 24–48 hours in advance, we received nothing by the 4:00 PM check-in time. ​Poor Communication: The host finally sent the code at 4:47 PM—only after we had already cancelled. They claimed their policy is to withhold codes until check-in, contradicting both Airbnb’s standards and their own prior instructions.”
