Swedes Real Estate
4.53Visit website
Swedes Real Estate's guest rating of 4.53 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“First off, this listing is hosted by a professional real estate company. The listing on Airbnb and the canned email from Swedes were conflicting and confusing. Checkin/checkout at their office 5 minutes away, not a big deal but FYI. As for the house, we liked it was spacious and a short walk to the beach. However, there were overdue maintenance issues that marred our stay. The first day, water was leaking under the kitchen sink and the dryer wasn’t working. When we alerted the company, they had people come out to fix the dryer the next day. We were told to be mindful of the gap at the base of the sinking causing the leak, no actual fix. The power went out the second night, but the corroded breakers for the AC, fridge, washer, dishwasher didn’t kick back on. After lots of calls and waiting for an electrician to come the next day (a Sunday), we were finally told they couldn’t get the AC back on at 6 pm. Ended our stay early after a long hot day, not the end ending we were hoping for.”airbnb

“Nice place, but we just had to make our own bed in the master room and one of the ceiling fans didn’t work in guest room.”airbnb

“A few things needed work. The fridge was missing shelves and the front window was broken. Little dings here and there but the beach front view was so worth it and the patio was amazing”airbnb

“Beautiful place with everything you need/dishes/bags/towels/gas for the grill. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Outside chairs need to be replace but is understandable the summer is just beginning. 100% recommend this place.”airbnb

“The house is located in a great location and an easy walk to the beach!”airbnb

“You couldn’t get any closer to the beach, which was the reason we chose the house. It’s perfectly located to sit on the deck and enjoy sunrises or walk a few steps and put your feet in the sand. The 12noon check-in vs typical later check ins was nice but came with additional requirements like making all the beds as well as stripping them, etc. The beds were comfortable and bathrooms are a nice size. Also expect to bring almost everything you need as the house isn’t stocked at all (exception is kitchen dishes/cookware), things that I’ve had mostly provided at others. The biggest complaint was walking in and the house smelling so strongly of ammonia or super strong cleaner. We had to immediately open windows just to air out the smell to stay in the house. Hopefully this was only a single occurrence but it greatly altered expectations. I also couldn’t use the master closet as it was musty and full of old electronics and bedding. Despite 5 star location, I wouldn’t rent again.”airbnb

“The location is great. Beach access and location were perfect. A few things - you have to pick up the keys 7 min down the road and Google Maps takes you to the wrong address (no mention in instructions). You also have to return the key to the same location. Im not sure why since there is a lockbox next to the door. None of the sheets are on the bed and they are the roughest, cheapest sheets (and bedding overall). One trash bag for a home that sleeps 6 tor a weekend in an area without many restaurants(ie we’re eating/cooking at home) seems stingy. There were two bathrooms but only one had a full roll of toilet paper. Same with the paper towels - one roll about 2/3 full. We appreciated all of the channels provided on the tv and the couches are really comfortable. We might stay again but will come better prepared.”airbnb

“Great place to stay, the house is beautiful and the location is perfect, steps from the beach! There were games and cards and the kids truly loved it!The reasons I give this place a 4 star are as follows: - There is no code to get in, you have to stop about 5 minutes away for the key (not the worst thing in the world, but just an extra step), and then of course have to return it the same way. - They use a linen service, so they don’t make the beds. You have to do it. - There was one towel per person, and no beach towels. - 2 bathrooms didn’t have hand soap. I knew to bring our own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, but never thought to have to also bring hand soap. Again, we had a wonderful time here, the communication was good, the house was clean and location was perfect, I would definitely recommend a stay here, especially if those points don’t bother you!”airbnb

“After saving and planning for months for our trip, this was definitely a nightmare.Instructions for check in were unclear. I had to go to office and unlock lockbox using a generic code which had a ton of other peoples keys to their houses which I felt was not so smart. Lock was hard to get into upon arrival. Sheets were missing and was told to sleep on mattress pad even though it went against company standards. Dead roaches were found all over the place. Hair balls were all over the place. Stains were all over the comforters.Maintenance guy who brought blankets to us to replace comforters was great.Manager sent cleaners to help but cleaner was only going to change bedding which was dirty and appeared to have semen stains on it. She was nice btw. She did end up cleaning after talking to management. There were no pans to cook with but they eventually brought us pans. Stressful experience. Would not suggest using this company.”airbnb

“Be aware of booking anything through Swedes. The posting was so confusing. You have to pay extra for towels and sheets. (It says included in one page and not on the other). Then you will pay even more for them to make the beds. They do a disservice to the homeowner. The cleaning crew didn’t dust end , left moldy coffee grounds in the sink, and the mattress protectors have stains and some blood spots. Also Swedes requires a second registration after you book - pointless step and you have to give your Drivers license. Then in order to get access to the house you have to go to their office - to get a code for the door. The people are VERY nice, and very accommodating with early check in. However, they need to change their process to make it easier.”airbnb
