The AC was strong, it was convenient that there was laundry on the floor, and the area was safe and quiet. The hosts were responsive and made sure we had our needs met - when the building said they were doing maintenance on the AC for up to 5 days, the hosts got us fans to help.”

“It was a pleasure to partner with the host in renting this Air BnB. The home was more comfortable than hotels I’ve stayed at in Hilo and an easy drive from town. Cleanliness is important in Hawaii and the home was clean and well organized. Supplies and tools to help maintain cleanliness were provided by host. Hosts provided all the things (cooler, umbrella, etc) I needed for a comfortable stay and offered highlights of the island to visit. The house is quite large and offers separate living spaces for people to spread out and enjoy privacy or togetherness. The air conditioning was key for our visit. It worked effectively throughout the home. Albeit no beach, the ocean and skyline views were a beautiful sight and amazing experience. The waves crashing along the shoreline can take some getting used to as well as sudden rainstorms touching land. The neighborhood was quiet and walkable. I’d recommend spending a day enjoying the home and view vs exploring the island. It’s quite nice.”

“Condo in Hilo was perfect !! Terry & Amber were excellent - from the time of initial booking until after check-out. Very communicative and prompt. Had lots of suggestions for Hilo and the Big Island. Even had a notebook in the condo with multiple helpful items (like directions - with photos - on how to use the TV). The condo is exactly as shown and described in the listing. It has beautiful views over the park and surroundings. Even though it is not an ocean view, it is still very pretty. The covered parking is a great amenity. With Hilo getting over 120 inches of rain a year, it seems to rain some every day. If you want to enjoy the slower pace of life away from the hustle & bustle of tourism, I highly recommend Hilo and Terry's place.”
