“This is the most relaxing, private place I have ever vacationed. Perched on a 75-foot sea cliff in a lush rainforest, it offers total privacy with no immediate neighbors and stunning ocean views. The pool area is completely private, featuring a heated swim-current system and a hot outdoor shower. We loved the two patios—the upstairs is great for sunrise, and the downstairs is a perfect, magical refuge when it rains or gets too windy. The house is beautiful, filled with unique Moai art, a great kitchen, and flawless laundry. It’s remote (20-30 mins to town, 45+ to Hilo). We drove 1,200 miles in 6 days, but with zero traffic, the drives were peaceful. Excellent AC in the bedrooms ensures a great night's sleep and completely blocks out the loud coqui frogs. Because of the cliff, it's not safe for kids. Yvette was a wonderful greeter who explained the filtered rainwater catchment. Rules are strict, but hosts were very accommodating when we cleared local family staying over early.”

“Great home base for exploring the Big Island — easy access to Volcanoes National Park, Akaka Falls, Mauna Kea, Waipiʻo Valley, and the Hilo Farmers Market. The condo was clean and well organized, with great use of space and everything we needed. A/C was a real plus in the humidity, and the view over Wailoa State Park was peaceful. Amber was responsive and helpful with check-in, parking, and building access questions throughout our stay. Would happily stay again.”

“We were a family of 2+2. The condo unit was very clean and very presentable. Spacious beds and AC units in all the rooms. Good clean bathrooms as well. Enough closet space. Overall a very nice unit for a very comfortable stay. Terry and Amber were also very responsive and accessible.”

“My wife and I had a wonderful time in Hilo! We really enjoyed our stay at Terry’s. The Airbnb has an awesome view of the lagoon, its walking distance from lots of local restaurants and activities, and was in a quiet part of the town. It was also really nice to have a parking spot, it makes renting a car that much less stressful. The room was very clean, which is really important to us as well! Overall I would give this a 5 star review. I would recommend this Airbnb to any of my friends or family.”

“Great location, close to many restaurants and the Hilo Farmer’s Market. Also well located for main attractions including Volcano National Park (45 min drive) and Akaka Falls (20 min drive). Home was clean and as described in the photos, and it felt spacious for our family of four. Pool access, free parking spot, and laundry room were all helpful. Laundry room takes quarters only, there is a change machine in the lobby that converts $1 and $5 bills to quarters. Kitchen was well-stocked for cooking meals and also for storing/reheating leftovers. The grounds outside are also beautiful and we were able to go on some walks/runs on the property. Thanks for a great stay!”

“I have two words to say: BOOK IT! This is probably my favorite Airbnb experience ever. The hosts are amazing! I was concerned about pillows, and they offered to have Target deliver some if there weren't enough or the ones provided weren't satisfactory (they absolutely were, a huge variety!). The view - incredible. I would book again just for this! The grounds are beautiful, the unit is cozy and comfortable with really comfy beds, crazy-cold A/C in each room, the little extras like each bathroom having its own entire set of towels, blow dryers, supplies - just everything you'd want or need is there. Umbrellas, fins, extra basics...really cannot say enough positives about this awesome place. Would 100% come back and stay again! Many mahalos for a fantastic stay!”
