Summit Cabin Rentals's guest rating of 4.74 is below average and may adversely impact performance. Some of this can come from specific properties they manage — but where reviews point to manager weaknesses (responsiveness, cleanliness, listing accuracy) that would apply to your home too, they can adversely affect your bookings and the quality of guests you attract.

“The cabin was nice and big some electric problems everyday we had to go outside & flip the breaker to the kitchen & was only able to use the hot tub once the breaker flipped on it the first night we got in it & then the water shocked us the next day maintenance did come and look at it but it still continued to shock us and i refused to left the kids get in water when there is obviously a electrical issue of some kind. The traffic on the road is very heavy and loud and the surrounding cabins played loud music all night long so if your looking for the peaceful and quiet calmness if the mountains i wouldn’t suggest this cabin we did have a momma bear and her 3 cubs come up to the cabin almost every morning though that was nice to see. Overall i would give this place a 3 1/2 stars out of 5 and also the pools you have access too all but one is a good drive to get too and once you get there some of the stuff wasn’t working and hasn’t been for awhile.”airbnb

“Beautiful cabin- we couldn’t get past the smell of urine hitting you as soon as you walk in. If the owners (maybe) carpet clean or deep clean the rugs / bedding? I believe the stay would be much better. The cabin was clean and beautiful if you can get past the smell of urine. The surrounding area is gorgeous with an amazing view.”airbnb

“We stay in a couple dozen short term rentals each year and of all of them this was probably one of the most disappointing. On arrival it wasn’t very clean which I could look past before we found the moldy milk in dishes in the cabinet. The dishwasher didn’t work at all and after repeated requests for service they showed up and waited for us to compete checkout before coming in to fix. The quality of finish over all is poor with nails sticking out of trim, doors that won’t stay open because they are visibly out of square, the pool alarm came with no instruction to turn off, cigarette butts around the hot tub.. just overall you can tell this is a cheap rental managed by someone that doesn’t seem to care. I made several calls to get resolution and no response back. There’s a lot of choices in the area and considering the cost and distance to the parkway I would have expected much more and would recommend spending renting from any of the other amazing cabins in the area.”airbnb

“Cabin was beautiful and everything they said it would be. We got in super late and unfortunately we found a bed bug . We were able to get a full refund but we had to find a hotel and cut our trip short due to inconvenience of a place to stay.”airbnb

“No assigned parking! If the other units are full and the guests are inconsiderate- good luck in finding a spot near your unit. The water faucet in the down stairs shower is hooked up backwards- cold is hot, hot is cold. The water heater isn’t capable of allowing multiple showers or baths at the same time. With two large jacuzzi tubs in the unit, it’s very inconvenient. Location is excellent and the unit was clean with plenty of space.”airbnb

“The place was very nice and clean, however there were a few things that were different from other Airbnbs I’ve stayed at. This home was located in the backyard of another listing (this was not disclosed before arrival). The address on this listing is actually for a different listing and for this listing, you have to pull through the side yard to get to your cabin. Broken broom dustpan, no basic spices such as salt or pepper, extremely thin spring mattresses on steal frames (very uncomfortable), no grill although advertised, and game room was a separate building next to the cabin that couldn’t be accessed without going outside. Overall, my family had a wonderful time, but we’re very flexible.”airbnb

“Nice place not really kid proof for kids under the age of five got to see bears walking on the road turkeys and the house has also been attacked by a bear. The back porch screen has been ripped open by a bear so if you do come here be cautious of the bears and the doors do not lock and shut the best back door. Bottom lock does not lock at all and door on back porch does not lock at all All in all really good place. Would recommend to friends. Good value and the explori tickets is a good deal but don't let it fool you. It does not include everything after you get there. It's only certain things be cautious”airbnb

“Day one there where no towels by the hot tub. So when I got out of hot tub to get one I had to go downstairs to get one. Both sets of stairs had no carpet, just slick wood. Half way down the stairs I hit the corner and fell all the way down. There was no first aid kits are ways they could help response fast enough or anyone to contact directly. I left in really bad condition.”airbnb

“We were extremely disappointed with our stay. The cabin was uncomfortable and not cozy. The beds were extremely firm, with only two pillows per bed and no extra linens provided, which forced us to sleep in the living room for the remainder of our stay. On the first night, we saw a roach in the kitchen. I notified the host and was told pest control would not be available until Monday our checkout day. On our last night, we found what appeared to be a bed bug. No one came to inspect, change bedding, or address the issue beyond saying pest control would be notified. This stay was meant to celebrate a birthday, and the pest issues and lack of comfort significantly impacted what was supposed to be a special trip. The listing photos are misleading, as the layout differs from what is shown. The kitchen is minimally stocked with limited cookware and no basic seasonings. Based on our experience, I strongly recommend choosing a different cabin.”airbnb

“I recently stayed this Airbnb that unfortunately left a lot to be desired. My experience was marred by a series of issues that made the trip quite stressful. First, I encountered misleading information from the travel insurance agent. They were unhelpful and frankly rude, with one agent even hanging up on me. This lack of professionalism only added to my frustration, especially when I was relying on accurate information. The property itself was not in good condition. It was infested with ladybugs and, more concerning, rodents. We found mice traps everywhere and even had to catch a mouse in the closet ourselves. This was not what I expected from my stay and made the environment very uncomfortable. Additionally, the property did not provide enough supplies such as trash bag for our stay, forcing us to buy our own. This lack of basic supplies felt very unaccommodating. On a positive note, if it weren't for Airbnb, we would have been stranded without a place to stay.”airbnb
