“Wonderful place. Easy access. Great location”

“The unit itself was exactly as described and had everything we need. It is in front of the gondola and like other reviews, the gondola is not particularly noisy. There is however a 15 -20 second beep that goes off every half hour (day or night) that sounds like a smoke alarm but is coming from machinery outside. Didn’t bother us during the day but at night makes it hard to sleep. The resort itself (no fault to this host) has changed a lot over the last 8 years I have been coming . Please note they charge for a gym pass (once included), charge for pool towels, there use to be a hot chocolate and ice cream bar that was no longer there for the kids. Upon leaving I we asked for a luggage cart and when asked to wait a few minutes as we finished up skis the guy left and said sorry, call us back in a couple minutes then. Again, these things to do not reflect the unit but the report itself.”

“Alison’s rental is very cute and has grey views of the river. It’s cozy but well appointed so it felt open and welcoming. My only note is that the photos and descriptions had me thinking that the main bedroom was on the main floor but both rooms require using a staircase. Our dog was unable to manage the stairs and we did end up carrying him down at night so he wouldn’t cry at the top of the stairs. The location is perfect for access to town and a short drive to the ski hill. Not a lot of grass in the area for dog walking but there is a dog path not too far away. Everything was clean and cute. We enjoyed our stay.”

“If you're going skiing at Stowe, this is a good deal. The furnishings are basic but comfortable, and match the photos.”

“We felt the property was a little more dated than the pictures led on. Photos were definitely enhanced to make property seem newer than it actually was. However, was clean and comfortable. Biggest complaint is we stayed here because we wanted a shuttle to easily get to Stowe. What’s listed as a ‘short walk’ is actually half a mile to shuttle pick up; which with skis, boots and gear is quite far. Overall, not bad but not quite 5 star.”

“The house is ok. We arrived and the house was brutally cold. It took 8 hours to heat up as it’s radiant heating and the managers don’t come to turn the heat up the morning of our arrival. We literally had to sit inside the house with our full ski cloths and hats because it was so cold for many hours. They offered a 30% refund of the first night cost and dealing with that was very frustrating. The check-in is annoying as you need to drive to the town to pick up the key and drop it off at checkout which adds a drive to what was already a long drive. Smart locks should be used in a house like that.”
