Perfect location, lots to do nearby, and a short drive to downtown CHS! We enjoyed our stay.

The location is exceptional. Quiet and away from the congestion of Center Street, with fantastic beach access and a peaceful, uncrowded stretch of beach. Unfortunately, the home did not meet the standard we expected from a luxury rental costing over $4,000 for four nights. Cleanliness was a major issue. Nearly every dish we pulled from the cabinets had dried food on it and had to be washed before use. We also found visible dust and hair on bathroom walls and a used contact lens stuck to a bedroom wall. The home was poorly stocked for this price point: one dishwasher pod, a tiny bottle of dish soap, limited paper products, and a minimally appointed kitchen despite the listing describing it as well-appointed. The fridge water filter needed replacing. Ants covered the backyard pathways and repeatedly bit us and our dogs. WiFi was unsecured and essentially unusable, forcing us to use hotspots. Great location, but the cleanliness, amenities, and upkeep did not justify the luxury price.

Overall our experience was really good. Walkable to bars and restaurants which we loved. Three full bathrooms was just what we needed. Kitchen has all the tools we needed, except a can opener. While the house was adorable the living room rug was very dingy with stains all over and the shower in one bedroom had moldy grout. We were also awaken on the second day at 7AM without warning when the lawn people came to cut the grass. Again overall we enjoyed our experience but a couple things could be improved in regard to cleanliness and communication.

The place was clean but had a musky odor. You could tell that the previous owner had pets. There was almost no water pressure in the back bathroom on the second floor. The water trickled from shower head. The AC worked until around 3am and then reset itself to 76 degrees and it was extremely warm. It woke up several of our guests.

My stay was not a great experience. The bed sheets were dirty, bathroom was also dirty and there was mold in the upstairs bathroom. No linen for the upstairs sofa even though I requested extra linen. My husband had to purchase sheets from the store. The toilet overflowed and there wasn't a mop to clean anything. The home was not worth the amount of money we had to pay to stay there.Trash was left on the porch from a previous stay and they did not pick it up until days later. We would not stay at this particular home ever again.

Overall our stay was great. The location for our family was perfect!! Close to everything we wanted to do but also more quiet and residential than being in the middle of Charleston. That worked great for us! The house overall was comfortable and had everything we needed. It does need some updating as things are starting to show some wear and tear. The bathroom also could have been FAR cleaner upon arrival. The tub and floor had hair in/on them and the sink had blue toothpaste still in it.

We stayed here for a bachelorette trip, it is the perfect amount of space for 8 girls. The house has a great layout with a cozy living room to hang out in. Great middle ground between downtown Charleston and Isle of Palms super close to Shem Creek. On the other hand, the thermostat was locked at 72°. The bedroom with an access door to the outside had a major ant problem that continued throughout the house along with roaches and stink bugs. Overall we enjoyed our stay but it would’ve have been even better without bugs and being a little cooler!

The place and the location is great. But the only thing I didn't like was that the balcony was a little dirty and I didn't have a wifi connection. Also when I arrived at the property to check in it was 4:46 pm and I had to call them to send me the code to open the door and be able to enter, but when it was time to check out I got a message early to do that . Thank you

overall, I thought the house was a good place to stay with a large family like ours. I do think that given how far the beach was to walk approximately 20 minutes, there should be some bikes available. There was none we had to rent them, which was an added expense. They also was no beach chairs or umbrellas. I just think for this amount of money and a beach vacation the house should be stocked with things that you need for a beach vacation but overall the house was clean and a nice stay.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY! HEALTH HAZARD!! Mold covering windows that was noticed after the first night, run down rusty building, washer & dryer in shed not climate controlled and dirty, horrible gravel access road with huge potholes. Forced to leave our 1 week rental after less than 24 hours with nowhere else to go, cancel our entire vacation and drive 7 hours home. Airbnb won't give full refund, only partial. I will never use Airbnb again.
