“My stay was great, exactly as I expected”

“The house itself is beautiful, clean, and in a great location, and once the A/C was finally repaired, we enjoyed the remainder of our stay. Unfortunately, the property appears to lack proper maintenance and the management company was not well informed about the home’s amenities. We lost the first night because the A/C failed, and it broke down again two days later. The technician ultimately found the unit needed cleaning due to poor maintenance. We also spent five of our seven days without usable lounge chairs because we were told cushions had to be ordered, only to later discover a complete set of high-quality cushions already stored on the property. Similarly, we were told there was no K-cup adapter for the coffee maker, but we found one ourselves. The management team was polite and responsive, but too often they seemed unfamiliar with the property they were managing. With better maintenance and a more knowledgeable management team, this could easily be a five-star rental.”

“I'll start off by saying the host was extremely responsive, which always helps. However, there were a few issues I had. The toilets have a horrible pipe system. They stopped up multiple times with only urine and toilet paper. There were ants in the kitchen, hallway bathroom, and all of the beds. We washed sheets and cleaned counters with lysol wipes, and the ants were still popping up. Not sure where that issue lies. Also, the air hockey table was not working as advertised. The pool table only had one stick, so that wasn't fun. We also were told to turn the water off in two hours so the pool guy did not have to return. That was not our responsibility. The code I was given to the door did not work. I sent a message and someone sent another wrong code. I then got a call saying he does not manage that house and does not have the code but would call me back with the correct one. He never called back and nobody sent a code. The pool guy tried about 5 before he figured out the correct one.”

“The building workers are shady. They will scam you for "VIP" parking; and make you pay extra fees and costs not highlighted by the Host. I asked the Host, and they didn't care about it; nor did they remedy the situation. The place is reluctant to give you a luggage cart; and moving your luggage from your car to the unit is a painful experience. Bc you don't have the convenience of a hotel with people to help - but want to hustle you. And you don't have the convenience of a true condo unit where you can do your work without being bothered and hastled. I chalk it up to "shady Miami" - people always figuring a way to try to scam you. .The actual unit is really nice; and the communications from the Hosts are good. They did not allow for early check in or late check out - so that's a ding - most hosts will give you one or the other. I felt hurried and hustled- cleaners were pinging us to get out asap. Idk - kind of wish I just did a hotel to make life easier. This was too much work.”

“The airbnb is very spacious, but also very lean on necessary supplies. Several of the light fixtures were missing bulbs and it's already a very poorly lit space. In the kitchen there was no ice tray in the freezer at all. The dryer door was missing a handle and there was no laundry detergent to actually wash our clothes anyway. The queen bedroom's shower has no shower curtain (the rod was there but no curtain), so the bathroom would get wet when anyone took a shower in there. The area around the airbnb is quiet and nice, but there's really nothing within walking distance. Make sure you have a car if you want to do anything. Not the worse place I've ever stayed, but surely not the best.”

“Nice place, need to be more maintained bedroom and kitchen. Unexpected gardeners visit twice during our stay working in the back yard which should be coordinated from the host with us to enjoy our holiday with privacy there will always be time to cut the grass but not when we are having our coffee in the backyard, in the morning.”
